PS5 Digital Games

I'm in Ireland so I won't have my PS5 till the end of this week, but I was wondering, if I buy a game digitally on the PS5, for example, Assassin's Creed Valhalla. Will I get a digital copy on the PS4 too? Or is it only when you buy digitally on the PS4 that you get a PS5 copy?

If you're looking at the store page it should show if it's a license for both systems. You'll see an icon for both PS4 and PS5. I believe Vallhalla is, but you may want to double check.

You (should) get both. I purchased Miles Morales through the web store because it didn't seem that I could get the bundle with the Remastered from the PS4 store and after a couple of minutes wait was able to download SM:MM on my PS4 despite having bought the PS5 SKU.

I guess I can't speak for every cross-gen release but I have to imagine if it worked that way for one game it'd work the same for all that advertise such availability.
