Secret Of Monkey Island Sets Sail For XBLA?
That's pretty good news for 360 owners. I'm ashamed to admit I have never played Monkey Island either, though I did play a bit of Day of the Tentacle at a friends house back in 1996 I think, when I was seven or eight.
Have you ever played the original two Broken Sword adventure games Brad? Or did you cast them aside along with the Thief series :p
I asking only because either I a completely devoid of humor and don't get sarcasm or your sarcasm sucks; either way, please tell my you are kidding? Please!!!!
I wish I heard about this sooner...wait.
I haven't played Loom, though I've heard good things about it. The Dig and the MI series are where it's truly at, man. Out of all the classic Lucas Art games, what I really want to play is Day of the Tentacle. Viva la classics!
Perhaps Double0hFor's avatar belies his age? If he is young enough its entirely possible he honestly has never heard of Monkey Island, which would be a horrible horrible tragedy.
Seeing the LucasArts point and click classics make a return to XBLA would be a welcome sight indeed.
If it is a NEW adventure, what do you guys think the chances are Schaffer or Gilbert are involved?
LucasArts vs. Sierra was such a golden age of gaming. Police Quest got me into gaming and Full Throttle made me stay. I couldn't choose between Lucas and Sierra any more than I could choose a favourite child..... and omfg I just realised what I will call my children.
Brutal Legend special edition should just include everything Schafer has ever done.
I've never played these games but I do love me some point and click adventure. So I'll be getting this.
never heard of this game
I thought that the new(ish) Telltale Sam 'N Max games were supposed to be released on XBL the same time as Wallace & Gromit this summer. They even said as much on that awful InsideXbox sendamessage thing.
What ever happened to that?
Not to say that this also wouldn't be an instant purchase, although considering it's not actually that long it should definately be 800 points not 1200. It would have been more sensical for them to bundle 1&2 together so that younger gamers can get the entire /official/ Gilbert-era M.I. story and fill in the blanks in Tim Shafer's past career before they play Brutal Legend.
