Anyone notice the similarities in between the current conflict in between Russia and Georgia and the first splinter cell? If im not mistaken, in the game there is still fierce in-fighting in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, but just replace Georgia with Russia and Azerbaijan with Georgia. Then replace  Kombayn Nikoladze with Putin and the Leader of Azerbaijann with Mikheil Saakashvili.

P.S., also the name of the current prime minister of georgia, Gurgenidze, is the name of the NSA contact in the first mission.

Actually he bases his stories around possible ideas that are not too fictional.
