I dunno if you subscribers can see it, but I'm fairly sure most non-subscribers is aware of the new upgrade page.

You can buy with a credit card (and with your debit card if it's a kind of card you can use to purchase other stuff on the internet) and with Paypal (you have to go into the GB store to do that). It will be converted to your local currency when you buy a membership.

@rongalaxy: There's nothing on the "coming up" section now, so it doesn't display. But I'm sure there'll be two different boxes, one for "coming up" and one for "recent Premium content".

It seems like there is a lot of new stuff. There is a new premium content is available thing and now a latest premium content thing where the coming up on giant bomb was. Please don't remove the "coming up on Giant Bomb" @rorie@edgework. Please don't remove it. Put it back.

I've been meaning to go premium for a while and that video was the final push... so it worked! Good job!

The video highlighted a lot of premium content that I never knew existed. Part of me thinks that they really need to show that stuff off more and part of me really likes that it's kind of a hidden gem. Either way, good work on the video/page/premium content button. It got me and I'm sure it will get many more people to try premium.

@flacracker: It just doesn't show now because there's nothing on the schedule. I bet there'll be two boxes going forward, one to promote Premium content and the regular coming up box. I'm gonna give you $1000 if they've removed that feature, internet promise!

@flacracker: yeah i dont want "Premium Content is available!" eye sore banner right next to the logo. also making the 'latest premium content' thing look exactly like the 'coming up' is a horrible idea. also the weird premium play button logo seems odd for people who are already subscribed :S

@razatron: Works just fine for me (from UK) on my card, money comes out of account every month at the latest exchange rate plus a £1 fee which doesn't bother me (may be different depending on your bank/country).

In case anyone hasn't noticed, Jeff's eyebrows move even if you don't play the video.

@EwanSuttie just curious, why not go yearly instead of monthly? Saves money in the long run, and you get the coupon for the store. If you are being smart and subbing \ resubbing when theres stuff built up, I get it;)

Not sure if anyone else has seen this, but now the premium videos also have a new play button.

Nice. Plus, whoever makes the right decision and upgrades, will also get a nice audio surprise when they do.

@flacracker: @amyggen We got rid of Upcoming because lots of people are using LiveBomb and we needed the space for the Premium Content modules.

@splodge: The first time I subbed was a month in 2012 for Drew's amazing North Korea Trip and I felt I got all I wanted out of the subscription at the time (not realizing the depth of the backlog). Then I did the same in April this year and weekly UPF and Alt+F1 (the best premium podcast) just kept me on that auto-renew loop. Now I'm used to it I guess I couldn't go without GB Premium, so probably time to up to gold.

Man I love that video, I wouldn't mind more of those.

But seriously, you did that? If so you should at least advertise it on the front page or something, and keep in mind that most people who don't use the site daily (or at least weekly) doesn't know about that addon.

The page and video are great, all be it a reminder of a few things that I truly miss, Flight Club & Pathfinder, that are very unlikely to ever come back :(.

Holy shit! I can't believe the updated it. I'm getting a little concerned now. Why the sudden push to bring in more subscribers? I can think of only one reason... It's also interesting to note that Gamespot dropped its paid subscription service last year, and then laid off some people in July.

Anyone else have a problem where the new promo video doesn't go Fullscreen? It makes the video tiny instead. Just a little thing. Otherwise, really cool page.

Not loving the new splooge on premium videos though. Looks kind of gross, like Jeff had too much chili.

I was wondering why it looked like Nickelodeon had taken over the premium video player.

I don't see how that's interesting to note here. Subscription never worked for GS so they dropped, it clearly works for GB. Jeff has been saying for a while now that things are going better than ever in terms of traffic and subscriptions. My guess would be that the suits finally see that subscriptions can be a goldmine for this site. GB has done a terrible job at promoting Premium for years now, so it's good that they're finally promoting one of the big advantages they have over other gaming sites.

What's interesting to note is that GB hired two people while GS laid a bunch of people off. I don't think you have any reason to be worried :)
