NES, good times playing mario, and contra a bunch of times.
What platform did you first play games on?
A lot of Buggy Boy and Giana Sisters
PC first. It was a DOS game where you made a dinosaur then went back in time and ran around protecting eggs and fighting other dinosaurs. I have no idea what it was called.
First platform where I actually had more than 1 game would be the Sega Genesis. First game I ever completed was Shinobi 3.
Odyssey 2. There was some other machine that had plastic sheets that went over the tv screen, I don't remember what that one was.
My parents owned pool halls and restaurants that had a lot of arcade cabinets. The first one they bought in 1982 may have been one of my original games I played that didn't involve my being held up by somebody. I have memories of asking people to do that, so I could play.
The first home gaming system I owned was an Atari 800.

I believe my first gaming was on a 1982 Baby Pacman machine... the one with pinball.
An old drive-in near where I grew up had one of those.
NES first. Then I tried an Atari 2600, but it felt like ancient technology. After that I got an SNES then Genesis/32X. Then after that it was a Saturn and N64. Then immediately after that we got our first home PC, which changed everything like the NES did, and that was my second platform to first play games on. After that it's all been a blur.
NES. I got started with the classics. And by classics I mean Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt.
A PC. Educational games, probably.
I feel like anyone who grew up in the 90s would say the same thing.
NES. Super Nintendo was out but we got the NES for free from a friend who already bought a Super and didn't want his old one anymore.
Some Binatone device, I think it had a set of paddles and 3 or 5 games including a tennis/Pong style game.
Started with a PC, though I don't really remember what games I was playing. My parents have pictures and stories of me using DOS to boot up games like a boss when I was really young.
The first console I remember playing specific games on was the SNES, back when it could be rented from places like Blockbuster over the weekend. I have random memories of playing Aladdin on it (which seems like a generic action-platformer, looking back.)
Something Atari related. Don't know which number, but I know my older brothers had one when I was born.
First games I remember playing are Spider-Man Cartoon Maker, Duke 3D, Doom, Outlaws, and Age of Empires, all on PC.
Outlaws was I think the first game I actually bought. Loved it.
