Crysis 2, maybe it didn't deserve to be remembered but it was certainly forgotten.
What was 2011's most immediately forgotten game?

I love how nobody is saying El Shaddai.
It automatically becomes disqualified once you mention it. Better luck next year.
I play all types of obscure games, so finding something for next year won't really be that hard.

Just make sure not to mention it so it's not disqualified again.
@Tan: That came out last year.
Anyway, even though I didn't play them (but intend to,) I haven't been seeing much about the new Professor Layton or Kirby's Return to Dreamland.
Maybe the XBLA version of Torchlight. I remember the week it came out there was quite a bit about it but then it just up and disappeared. Others would be the PS3 exclusives. Mostly Little Big Planet 2, Infamous 2, Resistance 3, and Killzone 3. Like Torchlight, the week those games were released there was a lot of noise but then it all quieted down rather quickly.
Shadows of the Damned. That game was great I played it 4 times back to back to back to...back and the music is great. Its not without flaws but damn if it wasn't fun but it seems that everyone forgot it even came out... and didn't help that EA sent it out to die with NO advertising AT ALL.
Crysis 2. I forgot it was only last year that it came out.
I don't know why people say Bulletstorm, though. I remember that game very fondly. I remember every level pretty vividly. That game was awesome.

Killzone 3. Damn good looking game. Bad ass trailer got me pumped for that game. Then meh. Forgot that game even existed until they mentioned it on the goty podcasts. Then I thought, "Oh yeah, I own that game.... Man"
That game had a terrible story. Was very disappointed.
Terrible isn't the word for it I didn't know how you could get more ho hum with a story then Killzone 2, I like the world (SPACE NAZIS!!) and at times it is a visual powerhouse, but my god the characters are bland . . . and it felt incredibly short.
TNT Racers. That game exists, you guys.
Brink definitely takes the title. I forget that game literally every time I think about the year in review, and I wrote a surprisingly popular review of the damn thing! I certainly haven't forgotten the incredibly disappointing Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Also,

I DIDN'T FORGET EL SHADDAI! That game very nearly entered my Top 10 list and was edged out by Catherine and Rayman: Origins. Everyone's talking about how crazy http://deckers.die was, but IT WAS EVEN CRAZIER WHEN THE SAME THING HAPPENED IN EL SHADDAI.

Yup.
El Shaddai
Dawn of War II: Retribution
Bulletstorm
Alice: Madness Returns
Resistance 3
Killzone 3
Shadows of the Damned
Out of all of these those NO ONE gave a shit about El Shaddai except for like 11 people on the interent. However Shadows of the Damned only sold 48,000 copies which damn.
I was saying Rage before I even opened the thread. Once I started reading responses and I saw Brink, I totally laughed. I've legitimately forgotten about that game probably a dozen times over. It is the definition of forgettable.
Modern Warfrae 3 and Battlefield 3. Before the release of these two games there were many heated opinions online with readers and press alike commenting on the 'battle' that would ensue. There was a lot of hate on both sides and reading the IGN comments after every article was just infuriating with BF3 and MW3 trolls littering the place. Now, only a few months after the games were released, there is basically nothing on the two games. Some info on DLC packs might arise but the games seem to have been forgotten in the general gaming press and the websites I frequent. I know they top the XBOX LIVE top 10 most played lists every week but the general conversations on the games seem to have waned.
RAGE immediately comes to mind, but if it does then does that mean that it is disqualified? Honestly though, people stopped talking about that game like a week after it came out.
@Video_Game_King honestly, I think I've heard that game mentioned far more than just about anything this side of Skyrim because of your constant pimping, usually barely within the context of whatever topic is being discussed. You don't see me go "Hey guys, Temple of Elemental Evil was pretty ballin" No. I make people do that for me. Delegation.

Killzone 3 is the only good one that I kind of forgot about.
games that I would rather forget SOCOM 4, Brink, and Fear 3 or should I say F.3.A.R,,,,
Holy shit, SOCOM 4. I'm declaring that the winner in my books.
No one thought to mention it until over 70 posts had already been made in this topic. And it came out on the same Tuesday as Portal 2 and Mortal Kombat, both of which overshadowed it in terms of popularity. And then SOCOM 4 was further overshadowed by the PSN downtime that went on for weeks, which was a much bigger story in the world of Sony/PS3 news.

@DeF said:Add to this Dead Space 2. This game had little to no mention like, anywhere else but giantbomb's very own editors. It's a fucking crime. It's like they completely forgot about it.inFamous 2
Resistance 3
Bulletstorm
they all got very little love this year
I was going to but since I was very surprised it got that much attention during the GOTY stuff (or at least high placement), I didn't think it fit. But true, nobody talked about that game all year long after it came out.

I am totally saying El Shaddai, even though I didn't get to it until late December...

Oh, wow. That did come out this year, didn't it? Early 2011 was a bad time for games. Surprising that it turned out to be such a massive year in the 2nd half.
A lot have been forgotten and they've all been mentioned above. I personally forgot Little Big Planet 2 even existed, so that might be tops for my list. I lost track of Resistance 3, but it is a game I want to play someday. On the other hand, Killzone 3 fell off my radar because I just lost interest in the property. Infamous 2 is another that I'm just too luke-warm on the franchise for it to hold my attention. I did enjoy the first one, but how can Cole MacGrath compete with Batman? Finally, there's Assassin's Creed: Revelations which also couldn't compete against Batman or its previous editions. It might have been a disappointment for some, but I just don't hear people talking about it in either regard. Hell, Dragon Age 2 gets shit still and its been out since March.
