FF6
Earthbound
Fallout 2
Chrono Trigger
Arcanum
STALKER is more of an RPG than some games, but I'm only going to list dice-roll RPGS here.
I'm one of those assholes that thinks RPG should describe a game that makes you feel like you're playing a role. Not rolling a die. It's not called Roll playing game.
I never get this sensation from most action games.
whats are ur top 5 RPG's of all time
In no particular order
1. Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion
..........I'll come back to this, I can't really think of any at the moment besides that.
" @Video_Game_King said:" @ADTR_ZERO said:I thought he was a Halo Fanboy? "3. Pokemon Gold VersionHow could you put THAT over Pokemon Gold Version!? You're such a PC fanboy! "
I'm a video game fanboy :D!
I don't know if you were serious about the Halo thing, but if you saw me speaking the truth about Halo, it's only because there is controversy. I will argue for any game (that I like), especially when I'm bored...*sigh*

Video Game Fanboys FTW!!
Persona 4
FFVII
World of Warcraft
Super Mario RPG
Mass Effect (Dragon Age may soon supplant this on my personal list)
1. Paper Mario
2. Knights of The Old Republic
3. Chrono Trigger
4. Mass Effect
5. Deus Ex
I need to play more RPG's.
" @PureRok said:I don't know anything about Alundra, but the other guys are right: Zelda is not an RPG." @MasterMind said:lots of people call this an RPG well where im from they do. and alundra 2 is similar game to it and its classified asRPG "" these dont have to have an order mine dont 1.persona 2 2.FFVIII 3.tales of symphonia 4.legend of dragoon 5.alundra 2 i dont consider LoZ a rpg dont kno why "By "LoZ" I assume you mean Legend of Zelda. You know why you don't consider that an RPG? It's because it isn't. "
Golden Sun: The Lost Age
Fallout 3
Tales of Symphonia
The World Ends With You
Mass Effect
- Baldur's Gate saga (if I must pick one, then obviously BG2)
- Dragon Age: Origins
- Persona 3
- Fallout 3
- The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion
Yeah, I know I don't have a lot of "retro" favorite RPGs that are way up there. The simple reason for that is how much the genre has evolved, with time. Maybe you could argue it isn't fair to compare those old games with today's standards, but the question here is our tops, and those are mine.
1. Final Fantasy 7
2. Golden Sun
3. Golden Sun: The Lost Age
4. Final Fantasy 9
5. Mass Effect
I'm really looking forward to golden sun for the DS
- Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean
- Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door
...That's pretty much it
The Witcher : EE
Fable
TES IV: Oblivion
Mass Effect
Dragon Age origins (Haven't played it yet but i know i'll love it when i do)
From what I have played:
PC
o The Witcher
o Baldur's Gate II
o Knights of the Old Republic (XBox)
o Mass Effect
o Dragon Age
SNES
o Final Fantasy III
o Tales of Phantasia
o Lufia II
1: Planescape: Torment
2: Arcanum
3: Fallout 1
4: Mass Effect
5: Dragon Age
I own Baldurs Gate 1 and 2 and Icewind Dale 1 and 2 and all the expansions for them but I still haven't played through a single one.
I'm gonna try to play BG1 now that I got so much free time but I got some questions for BG players.
Does charisma and intelligence influence the dialogue? I almost always play as a diplomatic character in all RPGs so I'm thinking about playing as either a charismatic mage (might be tough since I haven't got much BG experience) or a paladin.
Top 5 RPGS
1. Dragon Age: Origins | |
2. Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn
3. The Witcher | |
4. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
5. The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall |
@Gargantuan:
They do affect dialogue a bit, yeah. I didn't find that they affected the options too much in the first Baldur's Gate, but in Baldur's Gate II you had a lot more options with good charisma and intelligence scores. If you are going to do your first playthrough, I'd recommend the Paladin. Mages are very fun though, so if the paladin doesn't turn out to be your thing give the mage a go.
Iam a western RPG man myself so it would have to be
1. Elders Scrolls IV: Oblivion

- Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
- Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride
