Hopefully we'll have party 5 soon. Every week I don't see it on the schedule is a big bummer.
@dilkington:Those still put a big grin on my face.

I loved this series and hope they carry it on, though I'm guessing it's not much fun to play a shit game for several hours, it is fun to a viewer.
Perhaps they could at least mention if they've dropped it, or intend to carry it on? Just a little expectation-guidance would be lovely.
@scottmacdoodle: They talked about it on the Bombcast two weeks ago so it isn't dead. Hopefully it happens soon.
@manhattan_project: Good to know, thank for the heads-up. It was what helped make me a subscriber of this site in the first place (angry Giant Bomb is my favorite) :-)
They're probably waiting a full year to give Mario Party 5 the proper treatment by doing it on Cinco de Mayo (or Cinco de Ketchup, whichever you prefer).
I mailed in a copy of Mario Party 5 to the office mailbag about this time last week. If I got the right address it should be there soon. Even if it doesn't, still looking forward to more of Mario Party's skill and/or bullshit.
I was hoping it would have aired this week actually. It seemed like the perfect time...until Monday came around and I realized I forgot about Gamescom.
I don't know when PAX is, but I hope it airs before they guys head out to Seattle.
Giant Bomb's Mario Party Party 5 will be conducted LIVE on stage at one of our PAX events at The Parlor in Seattle. More details to come!

Oh jeez.
I'm curious if doing it live will work or not - part of the appeal of the previous videos has always been seeing the guys get progressively more frustrated and beaten down by how bad the game is, I feel like they'll feel the need to be more energetic in a live setting. Might still work, but I bet the vibe will be different at least.
While I appreciate the attempt to keep the Party fresh I'm not sure this is the way to do it. I'll wait and see how it shakes out though before grabbing any pitchfork.
I think the idea sounds fucking rad. I just hope they get a good audience. This seems like the type of thing to be real awkward and boring if you get a bunch of weak ass mofos sitting in the crowd.
Also, I'm not sure Dan is serious. Right?
They talk about it at the end of the latest Bombcast. He is serious.
Sounds pretty lame to me... breaks format and the guys will play up their annoyance even more to cater to the crowd.
Ugh
Could get them more in to it as well. Especially if the crowd starts picking sides and cheering mini game wins...
Riots! Stuff burning! Somebody call the national guard because that night is going to need all the help it can get
When Mario Party Party is livestreamed, I feel like the chat can barely contain the raw emotion of the users. Putting that same feature in a live setting seems all but guaranteed to result in a riot.
Will the event at The Parlor have IRL mods? By which I mean multiple T-1000s?
People are not so confrontational and inflammatory, by and large, in real life. It'll be loud but well-behaved.
I'm glad it's in front of a crowd, assuming it forces everyone to be a bit more energetic. Part of what has progressively turned me off of the series is how everyone just seems to be getting so frustrated that they sit around fuming in silence.
@atomicoldman: Yeah that last one was sort of hard to keep invested in. I started to take on Jeffs attitude.
On one hand, the format is getting incredibly stale, so they had to do something. On the other hand, this sounds like a terrible idea. I'll watch it either way, because I am a fool.
