I recently watched Paul Blart: Mall Cop with a few of my friends, I was expecting it to be decent, the idea is fine and the trailers made it look fairly funny. Not to mention I like that actor from king of queens.
So, this has got to be the worst movie I have seen in as long as I can remember. I watched the entire movie without laughing a single time, It wasn't funny, just stupid. All the semi funny parts were shown in the trailer so those were all spoilt and expected.
It just felt like they made the movie with no regard to making things funny and just filled it with dumb shit that 10-12 year old immature boys would enjoy.
I may be somewhat jaded on my opinion because I enjoy watching a lot of high caliber comedys and have no interest whatsoever in these terrible shock humor used in movies these days.
So Did you or anyone you know enjoy this movie? Also how old are you? =P
Did anyone find Paul Blart funny?
No i didn't find it funny at all, seemed more awkward than funny. The movie felt like any other sugar coated american comedy with a side love plot, i think i would have been better off just watching the trailer, than the entire movie.
I actually enjoyed it. I'm fifteen and found it entertaining. I really like Kevin James in almost anything he does, save for Barnyard, that was crap.
" I pity anyone who has watched this movie and enjoyed it. "dude, what do you have against handicapped people? You shouldn't make fun of them like that, it's not right.
" @ParanoidFreak said:Aha. I Just got it. Very sly. They should add a way to show sarcasm better on the internet, prehaps you could put sarcastic remarks in backwords italics. Thatd be helpful." Have you heard of Paul Blart and did you enjoy it?
" @CL60: Did you not find the story at least a bit gripping? Struggling father? Loser with a kind heart? Man who's lost everything still giving life his all?No, the story was generic while trying to be funny but failing. Badly.I must admit I have a softspot for the guy who takes his seemingly unimportant job and gives it his best because that's how he feels every job should be done, but is slammed down for his efforts."
I thought it was the most funny movie out there... No one believed me did they. Seriesly though I can see why you would say this movie is for young children there were a lot of part I thought to myself. "I think that was suppose to be funny". As my 13 year old brother is laughing so hard he feel off the couch.
"I really like Kevin James in almost anything he does, save for Barnyard, that was crap."You lost all the respect I might've gained for you. No one can talk bad about a Steve Oedekerk movie unless they just don't understand comedy in the least bit.
The only thing I laughed at in that entire movie, was when the big fat black guy asks about the happy meal.
Everything else.. was just plain bad.
Movie was created to punish pirates for downloading that atrocious piece of garbage. Think I smiled at like one thing that wasn't the credits.
One of my teachers brought it in to show a class with the age group between 13-15 and only 3 or 4 people out of the whole room laughed at it. It was a huge dissapointment for me after seeing the awesome trailer.
But I hope you did not have to pay for it.
Come on this and all those movie movies I blame partly for the dumbing down of society, the movie looks crap don’t see the movie, people tell you the movie is crap DONT SEE THE FUCKIN MOVIE, don’t pay these people to continue dishing out this drivel.
God damn I am angry today, why?
I don't think it was terrible, I just think it was rather bland and uneventful. This is what I wrote a month ago in the "Rate the last film you watched" thread.
Paul Blart: Mall Cop **
It was harmless with a few chuckles. Really not much more to it than that. Weak script, mediocre acting, some ridiculous stunts. Really, are we to feel any tension from a bunch of parkour jumping, BMX biking, EXTREME thieves in a mall? Ninety percent of the movie is a yawn-fest, but it's not offensive or so boring that I felt a overwhelming desire to turn it off. It's bland entertainment you'll forget a half-hour after you're finished watching it.Please Log In to post.
