I really love kids (even when they get annoying or bratty), and I really do want to have children. But I'm so afraid to raise them. I mean, there are so many what ifs that it really frightens me to think about any one screw up I could do. I mean I will have someone that I really love help me along the way with raising our kid, but it is all so scary to think that I'm in charge of making sure this child grows up into a good person.

Eventually no rush thought I have to find the right person because im not going through divorce. I think everyone no matter what they say wants to continue their family eventually.

"Personally, I'm not ready for children and if I do have one in the future, I hope I can have a baby girl (boys are knuckleheads). I have a nephew and I play with him mostly everyday in my spare time - right now - we are watching iCarly on Disney Channel.

Dude girls are just as bad my neice was here at my house earlyer and she can be some time a real pian, I love her though but she some time drives me crazy; and the anwser maybe.

When I was 17-23 the last thing I wanted was kids...lack of money, still not setup in a career etc etc..
Now almost 25 the last thing I want is not to be 35 and having my first kid. I guess its one of those things you just go ahead and do when you find the right person and worries such as finance, work etc don't hold such a massive overall bearing (yes we all need $ to live but if we constantly strive to make the extra buck, have the extra TV etc etc we'll never end up having anything really:))

Speaking from real life experience, that is pretty much what I did.
I was married to my childhood sweetheart at 20, married for 13 years and had my first at 33. The second was at 35. Both girls.
The choice you have is fairly simple: Early children - have them when young (early 20s) and have you later life to do what you want. Later children - have them in your 30s and have a blast in your 20s (nightclubs, overseas travel, a great sex life, morre mature and financially settled).
Either is a personal choice, but I had a blast in my 20s when I was in the best age group to do it. If I had children young, they would be gone by now, and frankly, I would not have enjoyed myself as much as I did in those 20s. So I say, wait, set yourself up and have a freakin' great time before you have children. I don't regret a single moment. Having children was one the the best things I ever did. Plus, they make great game partners for the cool multiplayer games.
I would like a have kids in the future...like 10 years down the line at least. And I would much rather have a daughter and I happen to have a name picked out too :P

I had a baby girl Sept of last year, and let me tell you, this is the single biggest fear I have right now. However, I think I'm doing a pretty good job, having never done this before.
And before you guys go around thinking I'm and old fogey, look at my profile. Chances are, I'm more of a hardcore gamer then YOU! :-P
Oh, and for the record, I married my high school sweet heart out of high school when he was 18 and I was 21. Now he's 22 and I'm 24, about the age of some of you here. (Where's GeekyDad when you need him?)

LOL good one! I certainly see a lot of folks have kids when they aren't ready or are too young. (ie, in Jr High is too young to have sex, you're hardly more then a kid yourself!) I like to think I am doing better then that..We'll see! *wink*

We resolved it in saying I still hate myself for being so and that my parent, the one who cares, would have preferred the colorful kid over the morbid adolescent.

I want some but preferrably not for a long time, still. I'm still trying to enjoy being 18. Maybe when I'm around 26 or something and I'm more finanicially stable.

Anyways, I guess it would kind of depend on who I'm with. The girl that I'm with right now isn't really too fond of the idea, though, and I can't say I am. Yet, anyways.
