These two show that he has amazing talent. Especially since the first is just him freestyling.
Though i might sound like im making a ridiculous claim in the title don't take it seriously i just said it to show my respect for him.
Edit: Yeah dude, his last album was pretty "meh". I only liked two tracks off of it. I was afraid he had fallen off, but these two songs prove he has not." Too bad he's left all this behind him. His last album was so disappointing. This is the kind of stuff I love though. "
Yeah i agree at least he can take the time to come with lyrics with meaning and relevance, other than the standard of rap Money, Drugs, Women violence.
" That freestyle was pretty beastly - angrier, more energy closer to his older stuff. After the Mathers LP he kinda lost it - too many slow songs, too much self production, probably too many drugs. If he can keep up this kinda stuff I could go back to listening too him (and I don't mean to sound like a dick but let's just skip the songs about your kid ok? No one wants to hear it). Not Afraid - this is exactly the kind of the song that's the problem - this dude hasn't even been doing anything lately and he's doing a fucking persecution song - I don't wanna hear him sing or act like he's on some higher level, I liked his music cause he'd rap about crazy shit and it was funny. He took his personal stories and added a lot of humorous and over the top stuff to it - I just don't care to hear him all serious and sullen. "I gotta disagree, I really like those songs. I really like both types you mentioned.

"I think his best songs are when he's serious rather than when he's satiracally funny. I mean he's no philosipher or anything but he definitely does a good job at getting his views acroos ehen it comes to serious issues.
i wouldn't say the best rapper alive, but he's definitely sick. i actually went back and picked up the slim shady lp not too long ago and man what an awesome album.
" @Andrela said:Yea his last cd wasn't that great but i loved Beautiful. And it's funny cuz he admits himself that Relapse was pretty "meh" and he says he's not going back to that in-Not Afraid.Edit: Yeah dude, his last album was pretty "meh". " @xobballox said: I think that there are a few decent ones - didn't meant to outright declare all of them terrible. Whatever the last CD I got of his, I think Encore? It was just too much, and that shitty faux-protest song about voting, it felt forced. I think he just reach that point where everyone around him just said 'Yea yea, that'll be cool' and no one told him no. Just looked on Wiki and it seems like I missed Relapse and Recovery - so really I've got no idea what his more recent stuff sounds like. Encore was the one that lost me so if they're like that I doubt I'd be interested. "Relapse wasn't very good other than Deja Vu and Beautiful if you ask me, and Recovery isn't out yet, Not Afraid is a teaser song (I guess you could call it that) that will be on Recovery as far as I know. Despicable might be on there too (it definitely should be, it's great.)
" @nanikore said:Bahahaha, that's pretty good :P He did have some pretty alright songs on his '08 album though." As long as Ice Cube is still alive, no. "
"
From 1:25 to the end of Despicable is great. It's okay if he's not the best rapper alive but he destroys the shit out of other rappers that have even more popularity than him. On the track Forever he outshines Drake, Lil Wayne. and Kanye West. Also on Airplanes part 2 wit B.o.B he adds a layer to that song that makes it better. And right here wit Despicable he takes Drakes beat and shows him up.
For all you bitches saying shit about rap, me and Jeff got one thing to say.
EAT A DICK.
Anyway, Eminem is pretty damn sick and today, I don't know who is better with lyrics than he is. Lil Wayne and pieces of shit like him and Jay Z cant hold a candle to Eminem. Tupac is the other that comes to mind with just how good they were with words.
Rap is awful.
It's just a bunch of dudes yappin about their dick's, bitches, money, cars, guns, and platinum teeth.
I LOL'D!
Seriously, Eminem hasn't been good since Marshall Mathers LP. This is not only my opinion, but it's also a factual statement in and of its own right.
And with that said, I'm just going to leave this here:
Eminem and Ice Cube are the two best rappers alive, even if Ice Cube is in family movies and stuff, it doesn't change the way he raps
Some good -ish people posting in here. I like rap that's hip-hop. Most rap now is too much like techno.
Wagwan, Eminem's best lyrical work is Infinite, so it's been a long time, and he has never surpassed that song. Although man, when he was dope, he was fucking dope.
Eminem is definitely one of the best rappers of this age and any. I still enjoy a little Jay-Z and Wale, even Lil Wayne on occasion, or T.I.
But Eminem's lyrics have power and meaning, they tell a story that no one else has been able to for quite some time, and he's going in the books as one of the greatest of all time.
