I listened to The Monitor by Titus Andronicus earlier this week. All I can say is that it easily blows the hell out of any other album Ive heard this year. How about you?
Favorite album of 2010 so far?
I've followed these guys since they started, and they have always delivered an incredible album. This time around, they have a new guitarist who can shred pretty damn well and adds another layer to their music. Yogi's drumming on this album fits perfectly into everything. Both Ryan's clean vocals and growls are incredibly heartfelt and powerful. There is a lot of ground covered in this album, from ballads like "Driving Nails" to their typical core-style like "Shallow Water" to mosh stomp anthems like "Lifewar", and the title track is fast and brutal.
In short, I'm still partial to The Triptych and Storm The Gates of Hell, but The World is a Thorn is an incredibly powerful record that I'll be spinning for a long time this year.

I'm a Deftones fan as well. Pretty excited for Diamond Eyes.
As much as I would LOVE to say LOVE By Angels and Airwaves has been my favorite album of 2010 it just isn't that great.
But my favorite album of 2010 has to be Enemy Of The World by Four Year Strong
