I generally like these guys, but the Bombcast-Hating was rather douchey.
Gamespy Debriefings hating on the Bombcast
I didn't actually make the connection between jean shorts in the winter and Giant Bomb, makes sense now. Whatever, Scott Bromley can make me laugh and I kinda enjoy his shitty stories. I just don't understand what you are trying to accomplish by posting this thread ? Do you want us to go send him angry emails or something?
" The Debriefings have given me more laugh out loud moments than any other podcast I listen too. That being said I'd never choose it over the Bombcast. They both serve their purposes. "
I know I'm in the immense minority on this one, but I find Bromley hilarious. The dick persona is obviously turned up a few notches for entertainment's sake when on podcasts but to get right down to it, I laugh when he does his thing. It can be offensive and abrasive at points, but to get so bent out of shape about it seems pretty silly to me.
I think of all podcast's, the Bombcast guy's could take a joke.
Also, Gamespy is a part of IGN now, it's still around technically, but not really.
First off Bromley works for IGN not Gamespy so to automatically point fingers at Gamespy for Bromley's comments is foolish. Secondlly, Gamespy might not be as active as in the past but that doesn't make it completely irrelevant today. Will Tuttle, one of the coolest people in games media is still there as well as Ryan Scott. Lastly, Bromley is a douchebag who gets kicks out of making 'comedy' at the expense of others, this is not news to anyone and to blurt out that crap like he did shows just how much he lacks class. That being said, can people aim their anger towards him and not Gamespy. The Debriefings and Bombcast are by far my two favourite podcasts so I was quite upset when I heard what he said but honestly don't let one idiot's words start something that's not even worth the effort.
So are people ignoring the fact that when they said the 4playerpodcast won the award and called them the jortcast?
