So I have always had and used Firefox but I decided to try out Google Chrome and I really like the look, feel, and speed. But my only question is about the security in Chrome. The protection in Firefox was very good, but what is Chrome like against Firefox in the security department?
Google Chrome Vs. Firefox
I'm not sure about the security, but i've been using chrome for a year now and haven't had any problems. Fewer problems than I had with Firefox even. (BTW my Firefox continually has problems downloading its updates, and i dont know how to fix it. I've redownloaded the program 5 times, but every time it eventually "breaks".)
"If Chrome had Adblock Plus and NoScript, I'd use it."Yay, another NoScript user. If you're concerned about security and on a PC, the only real choice is Firefox (now 3.0.8) with NoScript which was updated to 1.9.1.4 today. As far as I know, Chrome offers no protection against XSS and is just too vulnerable to remote code execution exploits in Java and Flash. NoScript even completely prevented the recent Adobe Reader exploit. Speaking of that, make sure you update your Adobe Reader to the latest version, it was released last week. There was a vulnerability related to the image processor that Reader used that could be used to execute code on your system.
I like Firefox, but I've never tried Chrome. Also, does anyone know when the big Firefox update (the one with Private Browsing) is coming? I had to delete the beta because my virus scanner thing said it was infected.

I had to delete the beta because my virus scanner thing said it was infected."Well, I know Beta 3 came out in the middle of March, so it can't be too far from now. Also, did you get your Beta from the Firefox website? If so, your virus scanner's probably just acting wonky. This is where I got mine.
"I don't actually know what Adblock plus is, but if it has anything to do with popups, i've never had a popup while using google chrome."I'll give you a hint: I haven't seen an advertisement on the internet for years, since I got adblock plus (banners, embedded ads, etc).

I would use Chrome, but I heard that it tracks your sites you visit... and can be slow sometimes. I would try it, but I am sticking to Firefox because I got all my uber add-
ons. I need my NoScript, DownloadHelper (Which is amazing for ripping) AdBlock Plus, and more. Hard to beat Firefox.
"I find Firefox alot better, but I'll decide once Chrome is out of beta. (it's still in beta, right?)"They took it out of beta a while back but I think they put it back in a few weeks ago.
I used chrome for a little while and it was great, it just wasn't compatible with anything I wanted to do(instant action, Quake live, battlefield heroes, some web cam things, etc.)! I finally switched back and now everything works perfect for me! I would defiantly go back to Chrome if it was compatible with everything!
I liked them both, but what I didn't like for chrome was the ad blocker thing that would be all RED ALERT THIS PAGE IS NOT SAFE, and the start up thing where it showed your most visited sites :/, I did like the tab system though and the automatically Google whatever you typed in the address box.
I'm loving chrome. I've had a few compatability issues over the time I've been using it (since the beta launch), so I have Firefox installed aswell. But there's no comparison speed wise between the two. Chrome kicks ass.
I've been using chrome a few months now. The only thing I miss from firefox were the addons, but it has been so long that it doesn't even bother me anymore. I like the speed of chrome a lot more than firefox, and the fact it has never crashed on me where as firefox crashes all the time. I also love how the start up page molds itself around you. Adding search bars for sites I search the most on and the most visited sites all sitting there with me to click. It is sweet stuff.
The one thing that I'll have to say that makes me want to kill Mozilla is it's inability to dump it's temporary files, therefore Chrome for uploading and downloading, otherwise, Firefox.
I haven't tried Chrome yet. I have had zero problems with Firefox, so I haven't felt the need to change.
Chrome is by far my most used browser recently - I love the speed, sandboxing and simplicity.

Tools -> Clear Private Data, hell you can set it up to clear every time you close the browser.
