If you were drafted, how would you feel?

Unless WW3 breaks out tomorrow, i doubt this will concern any of us, but im curious from a what if perspective. Personally, if i were drafted I wouldn't be too angry, although Im sure I'd be wicked scared, I'd be willing to serve my country even if the reasons for whatever conflict we were in are not something I agree with. I imagine I'd get at least enough training to allay some of that fear. What are your opinions?

I'd be wondering why they would want a 15 year old in the military, and then I would fear for my life. Well, scratch that. I would be a little excited because it's the US military you know, oorah and all that jazz, but I would definitely be nervous.

The army would be wondering why a bunch of out of shape video game nerds are in their company.

I'd tell them to fuck off unless we are being invaded.  I have no intention of playing world police/christian police/world bully.  Aka hit up Canada

I'm Canadian; this would never happen.  Plus, I'm only 16.

Count the people, find out where they are, and how many of them are adult males. Take their goods. Invent rules that are impossible to follow and punish through fees. Charge for the use of everything they had free access to before. Become wealthier than neighboring leaders. Force the adult males to fight for you.
 
Convince them they are serving something other than you.

The UK doesn't have conscription but if such an event occured that conscription was enforced, I would of volunteered a long time ago. 
 
I'm joining the army after university, well that's the plan anyway, so it wouldn't bother me.

Unhappy that I live in the south. Mexico would not be my first choice, if I had to suddenly leave the country.

I'd be pissed. If I wanted to be in the military, I'd be in it. I'm not this country's punching bag. I'll go to another country if need be, thank you very much.

No draft here in Sweden, and I'm 16
 
But I'd get pissed if that happened to me, there is no fucking way that I would ever get into a war, I like that stuff in movies and videogames, not in real life

It'd mean that I'd be sitting behind a desk somewhere else, in a uniform instead of a suit, making less than what I do now, in a job I didn't want or apply for. But I'm sure it would be an adventure...

I'd recommend all GB users forced to enlist as Cavalry Scouts and we all go kick ass together. 
 
 
Thankfully the American Army is at 110% capacity, they don't even outsource recruiting that much anymore as far as I'm aware of. I had to jump through flaming hoops to get in.

No draft where I live. In fact, we barely have an army now xD

Pretty bummed, for the sole reason of having to get my head shaved.  I don't remember what it's like having short hair.

if i got drafted, it would have to be a very serious deficit of more fit draftees.  I have a few minor things that would lower my chances of successfully joining a military service.  I don't want to ever have to kill anyone, but i don't know how I would act if i were trained to be a soldier.

Don't think I'd be too happy about it, but I doubt I would leave the country over it.  I'd just do my duty, I guess.

I'd wonder what member of the Parliamenty Fresh decided to draft the f'ing King. Are there quicker ways to lose a war? I'd say "nuke your own country", but even that takes a couple of days.

Depends on where we were going and why we need every person in the country.

I would avoid the draft by enlisting.

I think they have better candidates than in-shape large males who...just...graduated...college...FUCK!

In Brazil, military service is required by the law. I had to enlist and so did all of my friends that complete 18 this year. You can opt not to go, but you have to go to a enlistment center. The thing is though, I can still be drafted even if I chose not to serve. Kind of worried that might happen and it would suck baaalls

i would totally do it, i'd shit my pants, but patriotism would get the better of me. Also i would enjoy watching chavs die all around me. The youth of england needs a little filtering.

Conscientious objector here, and if they took away CO status, I'd refuse to serve.
