I would say that it's fine as long as you don't live at home and have some disposable income. Otherwise...you should be saving to move out. That's just my opinion though.

My friends and I last month spent over $2,000 on hotsprings, alcohol, and the company of some Japanese country girls.  Some of that money was spent buying Japanese statues, clothes, etc...
 
...looking back at the crap I have at my place, I have realized we were stupid as hell.  No idea how we spent most of the cash, and can't remember most of it...all we had were pictures and we had to delete them due to some of them not being good.  >.>

In this economy I wouldn't. But, I spend $250 on bowling shoes so I'm not the one to talk.

If you can spare the money then I guess buy whatever makes you happy, but are you sure you couldn't go to a hardware store and make some of those yourself?

I just googled steampunk goggles and I found this site where it looks like you can get that kind of stuff a hell of a lot cheaper.

Money seems to be burning a hole in your pocket. :P Maybe you'll find something to spend the money on. If that's what you like, buy it. If you think you can get something better, then buy it instead!

It's your money, do with it as you like, but remember that you are contributing to an ever expanding problem of gamers getting shafted by overcharging from the game companies.

Maybe. Depends on how much you want it. I personally wouldn't spend that much on Steampunk anything. Especially clothing.

If the goggles actually magnify stuff then I suppose it could be justifiable.
I also suffer with this vice of buying stuff I don’t need but I trick my mind into thinking its completely acceptable do, for instance i really want a Hazmat suit.

Those look pretty rad imo, but not sure I would shell out that much. Then again, I did buy a Wii that hasn't been turned on in over a year, so my purchasing decisions might need to be reevaluated.
