NES Mouse Concept
Did anybody tell them that the SNES already did it :P? And that Ogre Battle was pretty much made for it, but somehow didn't use it?
"Sur Google is a nice guy, he plays in a local SF noise rock band. Pitchfork digs them."yah, but ever since last year sur google just really changed his style, its like he trying to sell out or something.
Sorry fellas, but it is indeed a foam mock-up.
Found it sur Google. VIVA LA REVOLUTION!
edit: Looking for a real NES mouse though, see here.
I have never seen that before, and I am pretty sure nobody at Nintendo has. If such a concept controller existed Nintendo would have shown it alongside all the other concept contollers at the Hankyu Department Store exhibition they had two years back. The SNES Mouse was the first foray into the world of mice by Nintendo to my knowledge.
I wish most mice had d-pads in the thumb location. I just a have a forward and back button I over-use as it is. Perhaps a clickable track ball under the thumb would give the most control options.
EDIT: This was obviously never meant for actual use. Notice the incredibly awkward positioning of the d-pad in relation to the buttons.
"This was obviously never meant for actual use. Notice the incredibly awkward positioning of the d-pad in relation to the buttons."It seems to be slightly misplaced, It looks like it needs to be a little closer to the front of the mouse, but it's only a mock up. If it was to ever actually be produced they would position the d-pad in the most ergonomic position.
So, yeah, just a foam model for a school project. I drew a picture of a gameboy mouse, will you make that news too? >_>
I don't understand why everyone seems to think that anything vaguely NES-controller-related is the most kickass thing ever. Think of how many man hours have been wasted changing things into other things that look like they were made for the NES; the internet is riddled with the stuff. It's such a boring and over-done concept.
