It looks as though they are trying to do it like Dragonball, rather than Dragonball Z. What with the young Goku, and the plucky female, Bulma-like character.

It may be ok if they make it like a side story involving original characters but within the Dragonball universe.

Alas, my interest is hanging by a thread. And there is a good chance the whole thing is gonna implode.

I'll bet they pull a mortal kombat (Liu Kang does the fireball thing at the very end), and only have the kamehameha wave, or any energy shot for that matter, happen once at the end of the movie to defeat the big baddy.

If they pull that shit, and you see it, just remember Omega called it.
 
edit: I just realized these pics are of the Actual goku, bulma, and roshi. I want to see if Akira Toriyama has anything to say about this abomination. And if he has anything to do with it, to smack him upside his head.

Saw these the other day and shed a tear... lol. Looks like a bad fan made film, seriously with dragonball I'd go all out crazy instead of holding back in vague realism.

I dont know about you guys, but seeing as I dont expect it to be good I'm gonna see it and probably will find it funny as hell. Especially if they make piccolo green like they should, and goku goes super saiyan at some point.

Plus, a dragon "balls" joke would be fun.

This is one of the oddest adaptations I have ever heard of...except for Super Mario Bros....no wait it wasn't odd, it was terrible!

This isnt the first live action DBZ adaptation, and the first one sucked ass from what i've heard.


I highly doubt this is supposed to be a serious movie, just like Dragon Ball is hardly a serious anime. It's probably supposed to be a fun movie where people beat the shit out of eachother and have funny hair. Like DoA, but with less boobs.
