This movie was rated PG when it was released in 1990. But it should've been Rated R imo. I mean seriously, Rapheal says cuss words throughout the film. There are kids smoking cigars in an underground terrorist organization. And look at this scene, Raph gets thrown through a window.

Sure, it's violent.  But it's not "R" violent.  And the cursing isn't R-rating worthy, either.  The violence level was just fine for a PG movie.

The only question I have is why you're concerned enough to bring the subject up here.

i don't think that's violent. maybe pg-13 but that's not bad. you should look at what the movies play now that are rated R to what the movies were rated R back in the days. there was a big difference i think in them. the power rangers were the same thing and that was a tv show.

don't dis the ninja turtles they were awesome.

is this the one with vanilla ice? i only remember turtles with the ooze. shredder turns into a badass dude. the other one where they go to japan and turn into smauries.

Corey Feldman is PG-13 to the bone. Well, except for those pseudo-pornos on Skinemax.

But you're right. Turtles 1 is to The Dark Night as Turtles 2&3 are to the Tim Burton Batmens.

Great movie.  It was one of those trilogies where only the first one is the best.  The action definitely had substance, you actually saw some martial arts (most from Ralph and the Shredder fight scene).  I believe a huge part of it was because it was more or less somewhat of an indie.

that's 2 & 3.

but I'm not bashing the film, I'm just trying to show how times have changed when it comes to kids movies.

I happen to think the first two were great films.

@theshredder: Could it be because of the villain in those 2 films? Self-promoter!!

I heard the original comic book is pretty dark and violent. This brings back memories.

@theshredder: You've already been banned multiple times...creating new accounts to circumvent that is clearly not allowed. Goodbye.

TMNT2 is like a Tim Burton Batman.  TMNT3 is Batman & Robin.
