So this guy, Alex Roman, made this all by himself, that by itself is a huge feat. Now, that he made it look this good... good is a huge understatement, fucking amazing is what this is. Things like this are what inspire me to become a better artist, to create worlds that didn't exist prior to me imagining them. I think you'll appreaciate it more if you've dabbled with 3d modeling/animation, or know how insanely time consuming and totally not *Oh it must be easier 'cause you're doing in a computer right?*.

Jesus Christ, if that really was all CG then I'm blown away. 

Excuse me, sir, after seeing such a site I need to clean out these many bricks that are now in my pants.
 
Seriously, this is fucking incredible. If that's what one person can do, thinking what many could is beyond mind-blowing.

I am sitting here...just speechless...that was amazing. This is possibly the first time I was actually moved by art.

Though I have to take your word for it that it's all CGI, and though I wonder how this would all look if he hadn't used a tiny-millimeter focus for every single shot.

It's a pretty good piece of CGI, technically though (and I don't mean to sound like a dick) but I've seen greater things, this has very little movement in the scenes except for the camera itself. It's still a very impressive piece of Vray work, something that anyone would be happy to have in there portfolio.

But the title is still wrong. There are several live-action pieces included such as the people, the clouds or the birds. A lot of it is simple geometry and high-res photography.  This is just amazing render/plugin/ray work.

Saw this a few days ago, pretty cool stuff.

We could agree on the notion that he used a lot of premade elements.

... I can't really say anything other than that.

Was it just me, or did everything seem really mini? Absolutely mind-blowingly good as well, sure, but really mini.

Looks really good, but at times its completely obvious its CG.

It is pretty outstanding, but am I the only one that thinks those videos look so hyper-realistic that they look fake to me? Still amazing though.

So slow-moving cameras showcasing inanimate objects is supposed to be impressive because it's all CGI? 
 
Put some actual movement into it and I'll be FAR more impressed.

That might be the greatest piece of art I've ever seen.

The amount of time spent on this, I daren't even consider it. Still, it reaches a point where CG are this realistic I would be more impressed with the film if it was filmed the old fashioned way. I'm not a 3d artist so I understand other's appreciation for it, but I'd rather see the beauty in real world architecture and nature than in a fantasy world.

I saw this awhile ago, I thought it was amazing and beautiful 
 
Also, they used some amazing music in the video, I especially liked that they used the theme from Gattaca

I'm currently learning 3D modeling with Maya, and I gotta say this video blew me away.

Meh... Realistic CG isn't something new. Avatar looked just as realistic, and had great animation. I suppose it isn't fair to compare the work of this one dude to a full team with just about 400 million dollars at their disposal, but still, the video was rather underwhelming.

There were a couple of scenes that looked almost to realistic if that makes any sense, really well done but what makes it impressive is that One dude did that.

That was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. If we ever reach that level in video games, I think the future is bright indeed.

I wish he had picked some more entertaining subject matter. zzzzz.

I got a Terry Gilliam vibe while watching. I wonder who his favorite directors are?

Imagian in like 30 years you could probably go into some sort of stasis and immerse yourself in a fully CG world. It looks pretty believeable just looking at it. I couldn't tell the difference for alot of it.
