Gurren Lagann? Wow, way to have a godawful show. Also why is Tom not Steve Blum
Powerpuff Girls Z? Seriously?
This line up is pretty terrible.
Never realized Toonami left. I used to watch it a lot when I was a kid, than I found the internet...
JAPANESE POWERPUFF GIRLS!!?!?! WHUTT
It will never be as good as it once was...
...OK, it might, but I don't think so.
Also, why does the guy's computer generation look like it did way back then? We can do so much better now!
EDIT: Wait, they can cut Gurren Lagann that much? I thought it had a shit ton of language in it?
EDIT 2: Nevermind, it's definitely not gonna be as good as it once was.
EDIT 3: At least they're still showing Dragonball Z. AGAIN.
I wonder if they can cut Full Metal Alchemist enough to get it on there? That would be a lot of cutting, but maybe...
EDIT 4: Well, I looked on the website. It says it isn't official, it's just a fan thing. Coulda had me fooled. Did have me fooled. But after all's said and done the only one of those I actually care about is Dragonball and DBZ. The rest? They can go away. Except for Powerpuff Girls Z - that can go burn in hell.
I don't have cable, either, I have Netflix so I can watch these anytime minus ads!

I've never seen the Gurren Lagann dub, but I'm a huge fan of the japanese version!
I feel like I don't 'get it' but I thought Gurren Lagann was pretty fucking stupid.
Then again I hate anything that has the word 'giant robot' in it.
While I agree the lineup needs a lot of work, I'm very happy its coming back, I grew up with Toonami's Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball, Ronin Warriors, Thunder Cats, Gundam, Tenchi Muyo, etc lol
Some new material is definitely needed and welcomed, but as long as they can mix it up, I'll be pleased!
And yeah, I'm sad that Tom's voice actor changed, but maybe they'll get Steve back when it actually starts.

It is pretty stupid and ridiculous, probably why I like it so much. Also, if you don't like giant robots then it's understandable why you wouldn't enjoy it :)
I feel like Toonami isn't for me anymore now that I can just get all the anime they show from the internet in a better quality. When I was a kid it was different because I didn't know any better. But now I've already seen the shows they are pimping and I have no desire to watch them in English and probably edited at that.
Unless, of course, Tara Strong is in PPGZ.
Wait, Powerpuff Girls Z is airing on Cartoon Network (or Toonami; whatever)? Why does YouTube treat it like perverse hentai crap when I try to look at it?
I never watched toonami much but yeah, they need to bring back Tom's old voice cause it was so badass

Anything from Japan is seen as perverse hentai crap.

@VelvetLore04: I for one actually enjoyed Gurren Lagann, though that dubbing really sucks, removes Kamina's GARness effect
This is kinda what I mean. Everyone I talk to who is into anime treats me like some plague victim when I tell them I didn't like Gurren Lagann. But again, I don't like giant robots in any medium and Gurren Lagann did nothing to change my mind about it. Just not a show for me, I guess.
I quite enjoyed the dub for Gurren Lagann although I will admit the japanese voices are better.
Anyway. It's cool that Toonami is back and they are showing every episode of Dragonball. Didn't really like Powerpuff girls when I was younger don't really like the look of the Japanese version. Gurren Lagaan is an awesome show. It's good to see X-Men on TV again. Needs more shows.
Im a little confused, their website says, " NeoToonami is a fan project and is in no way affiliated with Cartoon Network, Turner Broadcasting or Time Warner. " :/

@VelvetLore04: Not really. I can search for Death Note or Full Metal Alchemist and YouTube will offer suggestions for bad AMVs and maybe an even worse Abridged Series. However, should I type in Powerpuff Girls Z, it just shuts down all suggestions and glares at me like the Z stands for "porn".
Maybe it is doing you a favor?
so is this a TV channel or a internet thing. was ppg z ever dubbed all i remember it as was the first show i watched subbed :P

I'll never understand, man. I just watched all that and... I'm pretty sure anime's fucking dumb.
Thank you for judging an entire medium based on a few examples.
What, you think this is my first exposure to anime ever? You don't think I grew up around a bunch of kids loosing their shit over Cowboy Bebop and Yugioh?

I FORGOT ABOUT THAT PPG ANIME. oh my god
And this is why nobody should be allowed to complain about Americans adding angry eyebrows to Kirby.
Not enough Yu Yu Hakusho and ThunderCats for my taste, but I'm glad to see it back.

I really thought this was sanctioned and all, then you got me to do some research. I don't know how they plan on operating when TB and TW decide to bring the lawyers to their doors.
Toonami used to be the best thing on TV back in the day (at least to my childhood mind). Gundam Wing blew my mind and DBZ kept me pretty invested until the Boo saga (ugh...).
I don't think I'll be watching it at all now that it is back though since I have much easier venues to find much more adult/better anime with Netflix, the internet at large, etc.
I do still feel like Toonami is a good gateway for younger viewers to get into anime. Without it, I never would have seen any and probably still wouldn't watch any anime so I am happy to see its return that way.
lol, this isn't really coming to Cartoon Network it's a fan thing, which is sort of weird but did they rip the voice over from cartoon network cause when that dude says Dragon Ball it sounds exactly as it did when I first heard it, or did they actually hire the voice actor which i don't know the name of sorry :D
edit: I kind of wanted to get into this anime is dumb discussion but I'll just say this. Doesn't matter what other people think, you like what you like I like what I like, does it really matter what people think of the things you like? I like some anime and I know that some stuff I like is bad but I still watch it cause I enjoy it. Jeff said it a long time ago. I AM A JERK!!
I can understand why people wouldn't like Gurren Lagann-for example, my brother hated Kamina, who basically made that anime for me.@jkuc316 said:

So I guess this whole fan-made Toonami thing basically equates to a late April Fool's joke, huh?
Ugh, no. It's just a fanproject.
Which means if they ever do move forward and try to show any of the shows they're revealing in this, they'll be shut down the very next day.
::Sigh:: Getting my hopes up for nothing.
Meh. If I was my 10 year old self and still liked anime, I'd probably be creaming my pants right now.
Anyway, didnt OG Toonami used to have shows besides anime?
I'm pretty sure that Disney has regained the rights to the original X-Men cartoon that ran in the 80's and are currently broadcasting it as part of their Disney XD lineup. And it would be very odd for Cartoon Network to re-air Dragon Ball Z when DBZ Kai is currently airing on NickToons. All this makes me very suspicious.
