Tbf I have to agree with you on this, I knew of Muse when they released Bliss off of their second album. Origin of Symmetry also happens to be the only album of theirs I have ever liked.
I heard Hysteria once and loved then. Then I heard Knights of Cydonia and loved that too. Thinking that this would be a great new band, I bought their discography.
And then I heard that every other song sounds exactly the same, with that stupid ass singing droning every word slowly, with boring ass guitars.
Man, fuck those guys. Glad to see their career has been reduced to Twilight soundtracks. I want my money back.
@Flaboere: course not. although Muse has been around since 1994, the Kings of Leon are often mistaken as a new band, but they were also around in the 90's.
Muse has been on a pretty hard downward spiral musically since Black Holes and Revelations. I think what happened was that they got kinda successful, then really successful, and then started trying to cater to what people wanted rather than what the band wanted to do. The last bit of their new album (The Resistance) is pretty cool. They did a three part classical suite thing, that fuses a well written symphony piece with the normal Muse sound.
