I chose C. The fact that you've not lived the life you want to live. A. is just a fact and everybody is going to die eventually. We just have to accept it. B I couldn't really care because he just said in the scenario you are going to die no matter what. I guess all I would have left were regrets and what I didn't regret.
What Do You Fear of Death? [ Poll ]
I'm not afraid of death, I just don't want to die for a crappy reason, like some drunk driver ramming me off the road or whatever BS. If I die saving the world from terrorists, well, I guess I died for a reason.
how many people do you think have lived and died over time?
trillions?
i dunno. i think we all need to be like, okay shits gonna happen someday, o well. i really don't fear it, i just fear not being able to do the things i want to before i die. which is sort of different.
but really, all you need to fear in life is fear itself, right?
Well since death is unavoidable, what upsets me the most is that all the memories of my whole life will be gone. My consciousness will cease to exist and I won't even be able to look back on the beauty of my life. All I can do is hope I'm wrong. I would give anything for there to be any kind of afterlife in which I could remain conscious and at least reflect and relax.
The idea that I will eventually cease to exist scares me more than anything else this universe has to throw at me. A.
A. I don't spend my time thinking about it alot, but whenever I've thought about it, the fact that I will one day simply cease to exist is scary. I suppose that ties in with the whole fact that the first animal instinct is to stay alive, so thinking about the inevitable and inescapable opposite of that is simply frightening on an organic level.
