I talk to myself fair amount actually but it's mostly self criticizing especially when I'm playing games.

I do. Even worse if I spend a good part of the day with someone, when I go to bed I have entire conversations with that person in my head. These are new conversations, not my mind going over events that happened during the day. I think I'm really disturbed. :(

its more like thinking out loud, but yes, I talk to myself.

If I have a problem I normally talk to my self to find a way to get around it. Sometimes hearing what you are thinking with your ears lets you catch the stupid things you think of when you're thinking to yourself.

Talking to yourself is only madness if your having a full-on conversation as if it were between two separate people, like a split personality. I'm sure what most people do is just thinking aloud.

I dont ever talk to myself, but I think a lot, as in thinking of ways to do something and the different scenarios, then deciding which one is right or the best way to do it.

Yup, I'm the only person I know of who I can have any kind of intellectual conversation with. Though I can be kind of a know it all and rather annoying at times, but don't tell me that I said that. He has a low self esteem and hurts easily.

I like to think out loud.

True but also by getting your thoughts or ideas in a more concrete form of words helps clarify what you're brain is thinking of even if you are just talking to yourself. Me, between the little Halloween themed desk items & decor along with believing in ghosts I can at least tell people I'm talking to them. Besides if ghosts do turn out to be real then might be helpful to pay them some attention, if not then well you're just talking to yourself.  
 
BTW nothing wrong at all if you are talking to yourself, face it some people do like to just hear their own voice ... now having an arguement with yourself, then yeah fully mental loony ward volunteer is in your future.
