I would like an easier way to interact with people who like a mutual game or games. Make a thread on a non popular game is just a waste of time. It just gets buried by the avalanche of " Here's why box of electronics is better than yours!"
I've never done reddit. I think I might have checked it out one time. Maybe I'm too friendly to WM. I just get how their sites work. Socially they're great.
I just wish all my facebook friends were on a Whiskey Media run site. It would make it so much easier for me. There again, I'm biased.

I could see a reason, as someone else suggested, of a site that had all the forums combined but I'd still say that the forums would benefit from some work rather than combining them.

It's not that. It's a Website about Social Sites. Made by Whiskey Media. It's your hub.
No. I like the content that the Whiskey Media brand already provides-- there is no reason to add some Facebook clone here. While it might mean more traffic for the other sites if it takes off, I don't want those kids on Giant Bomb messing with the community. Things are fine as they are right now. A sports or music site could work, but not some kind of social networking mess.
Since Whiskey already acts all connected and stuff, if you have a Whiskey hub world... sorry... it might be a good place to form a common identity for all the sites. You could get general announcements there, people could troll each other to their hearts' content in plenty of off-topic meme spewing, that sort of thing. It's up to the gurus, of course.
They could also measure how popular stuff is, like music (I was thinking the same thing, @Rudyftw: , but I imagine, sorta like movies, the topic is so huge it's bewildering), so that if they decide to launch a new site there will be folks who are already maybe building entries on hobbies or whatever. Yeah, I guess I'd add hub sites for users, as well, where they can make blog entries about whatever interests them, and point to where they are on the other sites for their wiki entries, forum entries, blog topics.
use Internet forums long enough and you might have a personality disorder what with your own avatar and other users avatars . Though anonymity is a bless it brings the worse out of people most of the time .
Isn't that what these sites already are? I mean we each have a profile page, a wall you can post on, a place to put whatever we're currently doing. We can upload photos and share our interest. Aren't the Whiskey Media sites already Social Networking sites?
The user profiles are already close enough to that for my liking. Any step closer to making a social net work then... ehhh... I think it would detract the focus from the Whiskey sites.
