You are stuck on an island infested with dinosaurs and you have to survive for three years
C. That survival handbook will be invaluable for anyone who doesn't have military training or who goes hunting often. Plus, it will probably contain tips for how to find fresh water and treat wounds with plants.
A or B.
Probably B, having to hunt for ammo that sounds like is scarce and scattered among ruins would be awful, the gun would end up being a blunt weapon for the most part.
Either way, you probably wouldn't survive unless you found a small rock cave near water and a food source that was easily defend-able and were already a hardened bad-ass/survivalist.
If I've got my choice of things to take with me, then hell yeah I can mix. There's no logical reason for me not to take what I want, and what I want is the survival handbook, the machete, and the medkit.@MrKlorox said:
Axe, Medkit, Survival handbook.
You can't mix;)
The survival handbook because I don't know jack shit about surviving,
The machete because chances are things will need to be cut. Whether it's limbs or fruit from a tree, vegetables from the ground, an animal trying to attack me, etc.
The medkit because three years all alone means I'll probably get hurt someday.
Also, where the fuck is my soccer ball?
EDIT: If I'm going by logic then the logical thing to do would be to find a place to stay and take as much of it as possible as well as all the clothing, especially shoes, that I could handle. If it takes two trips to get it all, then great.
Ill go with set A because I dont think Ill be able to kill animals with the machete or axe. Plus velociraptors will be on the island so the gun will be very useful. Plus, I can discover how to use fire myself and I can boil the water with the fire

That's why I chose the axe; plus it has greater range and the head is heavier, meaning more velocity when you swing it.

I set up a rule in the original post. SO what's it going to be?
I picked without looking at the picture, so I didn't pick B because I thought you meant Axe body spray...
Yep, this was my reasoning too. Having medkits, a gun, pills etc... are all well and good, but all of those things have finite uses. If you can learn to use the environment then you can find other ways to heal, hunt, drink and start fires.C. Also, I would be a lot more interested in that upcoming open-world game that's set on an island if it involved dinosaurs rather than zombies.

Agreed. A game that dropped you into a large open world filled with dinosaurs, with two or three other buddies/competitors (everyone is randomly placed near the outside edge) each with one of these kits, and you have to survive and work your way to the center to somehow make an escape, would be fucking awesome. In fact isn't that how Stalker was originally supposed to be, minus the dinosaurs?
That would be a game I definitely would buy.@BeachThunder said:

I would go with the water pills. Although the other two have their ups, all it takes is that one day where you drink bad water...
A, because fresh water will probably be one of the least of your worries on a tropical island. A knife would be incredibly useful as it is probably the most versatile item of any mentioned. It would come in very handy for collecting food, creating kindling for a fire, building shelter, and defending yourself in a tough spot. It would be great to have a medical kit since it would prevent infection, and allow you to quickly bandage any cuts and scapes which you are likely to get in a rugged environment over 3 years. I imagine that the carnivores might track you if you were bleeding. A Rifle would be highly desirable to fend off the larger and more dangerous dinosaurs.
A. I can survive without fire, and clean water can be found in streams, pools or by rainfall. I don't need rope either, and a book won't stop me from being eaten alive by fucking dinosaurs. You know what would help? A GUN.
I mean, if Jurassic Park taught me anything, it's that dinosaurs will fuck you up.
@Klei: Urine is sterile and totally drinkable, dawg.
Axe doesn't need ammo, so I'd use that to split some dino heads. Knives are too short, and machetes can't break through bone.
Also water is more important than food. That medkit won't be of much use when you're dying of some stomach virus.
