You find a spider in your house, what do you do?

Now my wife wants me to kill them. But I just capture and free them outside.

My mother is arachnophobic, so setting them free isn't good enough. They might come back in and all.

I squeal and run to my fiancee so she can murder the little fucker.

I typically just kill it, but I realize that's kind of dickish.

I capture and let loose.  If it's a small one I just let em go.  I hate insects, and spiders eat insects so spiders and I are friends.

I kill that fucker with my Jew-Jitsu as fast as possible

I capture it and flush it down the toilet.

I send one of my Temple of Elemental Evil characters to kill it. I watch them die and laugh. (Guess which one I sent.)

Kill it. I kinda like spiders, but not on my turf. I don't want it to bite me in my sleep. It's happened before. I go to sleep fine, but then wake up with a spider bite on my arm. It's weird.

Also, killing things is fun. Especially when they start trying to run away, and you have to hunt them down...Er, but only with bugs.

Kill everyone in the house. Set the house on fire. Move to Brazil.

WHY would anyone release spiders back outside? What kind of monster do you have to be let a spider live?

Whenever I see a spider in my house, I grab the heaviest thing, such as a textbook, and beat it into kingdom come.

It really depends where it is. If it's in my bedroom then it's a kill every single time. If it's on the ground it's a kill. Anywhere else I let it be.

I immediately pick up the spider and insert it in my ear.

Edit: Actually, this describes my "interactions" with spiders pretty well.

I usually let it be. If it's in my way, I may kill it, but spiders tend to be hang out in corners and other places I don't mind that them being in.

I would LOVE to leave spiders and insects alone, but they are too fucking stupid to leave me alone. Especially flying ones.

I introduce myself, and then we open up a very successful bakery together!

I vacuum spiders up to give them a slow pointless death with minimal cleanup.

My policy with any bug is that if it's not bothering me then I let it be. So, if the spider stays away from me then it'll live a long and happy life. We don't get any big or poisonous spiders around here though, I'd probably kill those fuckers.

Depends on how ugly/scary it looks and also my mood at the time. Usually I kill'em, but if they put up a good fight I will allow it to live. Sometimes its just minding its own business so i just automatically capture and release it. My kill/spare spider algorithm is quite complex.

i let them stay where they are. i usually end up flicking them somewhere else.

I leave them alone. I like spiders, they kill other insects. Totally makes my job as the House Fly Murderer a little easier.

I leave spiders be. They're chill, I guess. Flies I hunt because they buzz around and irritate the hell out of you. Plus spiders are my ally in the war against insects so there you go.

It depends on the spider. We have black widows and brown recluses here (I spotted 3 Widows and a recluse in my goddamn garage last week. Fuckers.) so I kill anything that looks like either of those. Jumping spiders are impossible to kill with their Anime Eyes and their love of pouncing mosquitos.

@MariachiMacabre: Just for future knowledge. Crickets eat brown recluses. Wolf Spiders are also very useful against brown recluses.
