What's your favorite alternate skin?

Other than Rescue Mei, which I think we can all agree is clearly the best.

@bbalpert: I love Zarya, but I do not like her alt skins at all for some reason.

I do enjoy all the "totally not Paladin armor" skins for Reinhardt, though. So take my opinion with a grain of salt.

@williamflattener: I'm with you. I don't use Reinhardt all that often and don't actually have any of his awesome skins, but I think Lionhardt and Stonehardt are the coolest looking skins in the game.

There are a few characters that, in my opinion, could have had much cooler alternate skins--especially considering Blizz's Heroes of the Storm skins, which they typically knock out of the park.

Torbjörn, Tracer, Lúcio, Mercy. A li'l disappointing. But I'm really hoping to get one of the McCree skins or that Genji desert dude getup.

Most of my favorite "skins" are the 250-point colors for most characters, honestly. I like a handful of the 1000-point ones, though. My favorite is probably Sunyatta Zenyatta.

Stonehardt is my favourite skin. It's the first one I bought.

Really like Roadhog with his shark skin.

Sadly as a Lucio player I can't stand either of his legendary skins. The Ice Hockey one would be alright if it had a bit more colour.

Out of the 2 I have, I like the Nevermore skin for Reaper the best.

The Pharah Gundam skin is obviously the best skin. I aslo really like Tracer's Punk skins and McCree's Gambler skins.

For a hero I play it's probably Nomad for Genji, but Thunderbird for Pharah is pretty awesome also. And Vigilante for McCree.

I must say that zarya skin is probably the ugliest one imo...just bleh!!

I like the origin edition skins and also devi symmetra & riverboat mccree are cool.

This is coming from someone who doesn't own Overwatch but really wants to play it despite being out of date with consoles. I've also looked at probably all the alternate skins and there's a good selection overall. OP is right, Rescue Mei is great. Fire fighting ice lady is an adorable alternate skin. From what I've seen though, my favorite has to be Explorer Winston:

Probably Mercy's Valkyrie skin, McCree's Vigilante skin and Pharah's Thunderbird skin (her Gundam like skins are also great).

There are some other's that I really like too, though. Reinhardt, Torbjörn and Zenyatta's skins for example.

Also I wish Genji had a Raiden (from MGS IV) skin.

@mocbucket62: That's the only legendary skin I own. Shame I rarely play Winston.

I really like D.VAs Junker skin personally.

@zeik: For me it's tied between the other Junker skin and that like, super rad blue shiny legendary one (I think Jeff got it when he unlocked those 50 boxes?).

Also Gundam Pharah and Pirate Torbjorn are great as well.

Rescue Mei is probably my favorite name for a skin, though, with B.VA in second.

Mako (?) for Pudge and Stonehardt for Reinhardt are my favorite skins, Stonehardt coming out pretty far on top. Kinda sad I got Lionhardt actually, considering I like Stonehardt way more, but I can't really complain anyhow...

I don't think any are bad but I really like Stonehardt, Valkyrie Mercy, Riverboat Gambler McCree, and Dhalsim Zenyatta

That's my favourite as well.

My favorite is the Pharah mech skin. I was actually incredibly lucky, because I opened that exact skin (and the right color, too!) from like the third box I ever opened after launch. Other than that, I really like the McCree gambler skin, Mercy devil skin and Reaper's white mariachi skin. Those are the ones I'm looking forward to unlocking with the fake money the most.

Riverboat McCree is great, I'm also way into Valkyrie Mercy. After that I'd say Hayseed Junkrat, Huntress Widow and pretty much anything Zenyatta. He just looks great no matter what.

EDIT: HOW COULD I FORGET MARIACHI REAPER! That one is gold! If only I ever wanted to play him.

The only real answer is Symmetras devi skin, look at that fucking thing it's so good, i just gave up on trying to get it, after 35 levels/boxes i had a measly 450 currency, i settled for her silver/gold outfit, not nearly as awesome but it will do.

Reapers blackwatch reyes it the worst skin by far, it looks like it was taken from a c-tier call of duty ripoff, black widows gothic lolita dress is pretty awul too.

Symmetra's Architect skin is the only legendary costume I went out of my way to get. I'd probably be all about B.Va if I actually played her. I also bought Lucio's black 250 skin, which I think is pretty sweet. I'm a fan of the Reaper Mariachi skin.

I've gotten two legendary skins from boxes so far, Junker D.Va and goddess symmetra. Unfortunately those are two of the characters I enjoy playing the least, so I'm saving up for Imp Mercy in the mean time.

Pharah's Japanese mecha skins are great. D. Va has cool skins. All of Reinhardt's alternate skins are totally awesome. Reaper has good skins, goofy but still fitting his design. Soldier 76's skins for his character.

That being said, I hate a BUNCH of the alternate skins, especially when the default character design is really good. Default Tracer and Widowmaker and Hanzo all have a nice simplicity to them, while the alternates are either too bland/similar-to-default-but-worse, or way too busy. Torbjorn's alternates are awful; yes, he has a beard, but seriously, biker/pirate? The fuck does a biker/pirate have to do with a little Scandinavian man with an automated turret? Junkrat's alternates both suck pretty hard, and I'd rather use a recolouring of his default skin.

fwiw, I highly value alternate skins that are like a reinterpretation of the basic visual components of the character. For that reason, I like most Dota skins, but a lot of the Heroes of the Storm skins are goofy and idiotic and I hate them. "lol, here's a skin for Diablo where he looks like a Murloc! Isn't that hilaaaaaaaarious?!" No, it's not, go fuck yourself, good day sir.

Reaper`s Mariachi, Roadhog`s Sharkbait and Genji`s nomad are proabably my favorites. I just got a thousand credits and it`s really hard to decide which one to get.

I'm big fan of Junkrat's scarecrow, Roadhog's shark bait, Reaper's mariachi and Symmetra's devi skins.

...I also really like the Reinhardts without the helmet.

Lúcio's hippityhop. Bought it as soon as I got my first 1000 gold.
