It may be Thursday, but it's also Tuuuuuuuuuuuesday.

The most I've ever interacted with Ryan was a quick e-mail exchange, but you can't watch/hear hundreds of hours of a person without being impacted by them in some way.

I was going to link that video of Ryan superimposed into Star Wars, but I still get choked up by that one. So instead, here's Ryan wearing a tiny sombrero, the way nature intended:

I was drinking 8 year old rum last night at 12am, in memory of Ryan, watching The Olympic Games Olympiad... Shed a few tears. Miss this dude incredibly so.

Ah Christ. If I get through today without crying my fucking ass off that would be a miracle. I miss him so much.

Ryan brought joy to a lot of people and if i may speak for everyone, we miss him very much.

Can't believe it's been a year. I remember nearly vomiting when reading the post on the front page. I'm still not over it. I still miss him. All the shit I light on fire and blow up on this weekend will be in memory of him. I just feel like he'd enjoy that.

Crazy how fast 1 year went by, miss you Ryan.

Ryan Davis is badly missed.

I listened to all the old bombcasts again since his passing from the start and am now up to july 2010 and loving it!.. he was so warm and jovial. funny and sharp witted, such intelligence and perfect timing with how he conducted himself and lead others in all mediums that showed mastery beyond his age.

The consummate Host bar none.

I raise a glass to a great man that i admire and miss dearly like i knew him personally.. i don't know why. I guess it just speaks to his adorable nature and character and the way Giant Bomb connects with us.

Also, i never post... i just feel a void since his death and felt compelled to, we miss you Ryan.

I really do miss him every time I listen to the bombcast. Not to say it is bad now or anything, just that it is different.

Wherever he is now, I hope he is still having all the fun in the world.

Let's all get melodramatic for a moment. That dude, unknowingly, had prominent effect on my life. When I was severely depressed for a few months, listening to him "crack wise" was the only thing keeping me okay throughout the day. Without going into too much details, he and the rest of the GB crew helped me through some rough times, and for that I am eternally grateful.

Rest in peace, King of the Driveway.

A year, huh? Guess I haven't really been aware of how long it's been, but it really has been a year, hasn't it?

Good ole Ryan, seemed like a decent bloke. It's funny but when he was doing that Sonic rant he was yelling about idiots like me who still believe that a good Sonic game is around the corner. Even though he was indirectly attacking people like me I couldn't help but laugh my ass of at that. What a talent!

I've been listening to the past Bombcasts, basically the mirror-week of the same time last year, for awhile now leading up to the day (including the one where they honor Ryan and the first one without him).

You're in our hearts forever, Ryan. We miss you...

I was lucky to have met him during PAX East last year. It was a shocking blow to find out he suddenly passed away just a few short months later. I don't drink personally, but I'll raise a bottle of my favorite beverage for him all the same.

Like I know it was for everybody else here, the news of Ryan's passing was a real punch in the gut for me. Aside from the fact that by all accounts he was a great friend and a great man all around I genuinely feel like he was the best at what he did and was one of the most entertaining individuals I've ever witnessed. It's awful that he's gone, but I'm really damn grateful we had him as long as we did.

Beautiful words, duder. Ryan was an amazing person, and I will never forget the countless hours of laughter and comfort he brought me, especially when I was at rock bottom. He and the rest of the GB crew kept me sane for awhile, and that's invaluable to me.

Let's forget this weird week of people talking about GB for all the wrong reasons and REMEMBER Ryan.

To this day, every time I remember Ryan I get both sad and happy at the same time. He was awesome, and I got so much for myself just from listening to him talk a few times a week.

So I'm gonna take tomorrow (A day late perhaps, but today isn't possible for me) and stream a bunch of Saints Row IV, because it's exactly the kind of dumb fun Ryan Davis taught me to love.

Fuck I miss you Ryan Davis, probably the first time I teared up for someone I didn't personally meet. I raise my morning coffee to you.

The week Ryan passed away, my fiance and I bought a bottle of Eagle Rare for the first time (and served like how Ryan described it on the Bombcast) to drink in his memory. I was so excited to try something new! I barely downed the first (and only) glass when my stomach lurched and I puked it all up in the sink. I started laughing right after that.

The absence of his bigger-than-life persona, charisma, and humor still hurts a lot. I miss his laughter...

I miss and love Ryan Davis. Thanks for the good times!

@stealthmaster86: You are not alone. I've never been one to pretend that the lives of celebrities and entertainers affect me, but Ryan's death had a profound impact on me. After listening to him for years, having him suddenly gone was like losing an old friend.

I think of Ryan often, especially every TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUEEEESDAY.

His absence was also strongly felt this year at E3. I felt all the guys did an admirable job, but no one could control a room of drinking, unruly games journalists, programmers and developers better than he could. Ryan, you are missed.

I am at work now, but will be raising a glass later in his memory.
