Sounds Like The Legend of Zelda for Wii U Isn't a 2015 Game Anymore

But the last time they did this, the console in question already had a Zelda game for it, they just pushed the follow-up to the next console... and still released it on both systems. Albeit in limited numbers on the former, but still.

It'd be playing with fire for Nintendo to have a console generation go by where the only Zelda game on the market is a remake of a ten year old game. They can't afford to have their most diehard fans lose confidence in them.

I just remembered that I own a WiiU. That is a weird feeling.

Playing so many other games on the Wii U and while catching up, I really don't care. But fuck, I love my god damn Wii U. Fuck You.

@claude: I have to admit, the games I'm playing on my WiiU are certainly not anything I would have bought a system for, but since I already have one, I've not had a lot of trouble finding things to play on it.

But I also haven't taken the plunge on either a PS4 or Xbox1, so there's that.

They will tell you they have Mario Kart 8 for this holiday season at E3 2015, this year. Also, Star Fox might get screenshots.

My guess is they will delay it and enhance it for their new system, would make an amazing launch title and I am sure would shift a lot of units. Would suck for anyone who bought a wii u for this game though.

Haven't really been interested in this new generation of consoles, there doesn't seem to be any worthwhile games on any console. The most interesting ones are indie titles [or look like indie titles]

I'm really hoping this one's great. It needs to be. Well, at least to convince this guy, who hasn't bought a Nintendo system since the N64, to finally pony up. So they can take all the time they need. I miss Nintendo...

doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. I want Zelda to be good so if they can't finish it this year I'm totally good with it coming out next year.

Splatoon looks like a lot of fun and Xenoblade Chronicles X if you're into what that game is.

I'm actually glad they did this. I don't have a WiiU and don't really want one. If this means they might bring out an NX version then I can wait.

You know these games are done right? I bet they have a new Metroid, HD versions of Wind Waker and Galaxy just sitting on a shelf in the office. When you can release a 20 year old mod at full price and sell a million copies, why rush. Its not like they are creating new characters, worlds, story or game play. Nintendo has it MADE.

Just when the Wii U was starting to gain momentum, this happens. Too Bad.

This game will do better on Nintentdo's next generation console and not their current console, the Nintendo WiiU. The WiiU has done its course and it is Nintendo will definitely swallow there losses and start over so I am not surprise at all.
