I guess Armoured Core is off the table?

A single player action adventure. Futuristic medieval fantasy with surreal nature, kind of like Nausicaa.

No character creation. I hate character creation. Just make a good main character.

Bloodborne 2 would be alright. Or the Soul's formula in a sci-fi or cyberpunk setting. If its not either of those then hopefully its something entirely new.

i understand it's probably the most popular and profitable thing they've ever done, but honestly a souls break would be welcome at this point

Bloodborne 2 is inevitable, Demon's Souls has Souls in the title and thus is not an option; so we're left with Sci Fi Souls or King's Field Souls. I would be down for Tenchu Souls as well, though they didn't make Tenchu 2 so /shrug

I would like a Souls/Souls like break as well, I mean, I only play the games when I want too, they could put out 10 of them tomorrow and it wouldn't affect me at all, I would just play them whenever I felt like it. But I would like to see something new from them, see what else they got under their belt.
I like the sci-fi idea people have, they do such a good job with world building, sci-fi might be amazing.

Also there was a weapon in Bloodborne that reminded me of ActRaisers, in a wildest fantasies never going to open but it's what I would want, I would want for them to make ActRaisers 3, or something in it's style, that would be cool.

Tenchu. Loved Bloodborne and that's what I was here to vote for.

But those Tenchu games were so damn fun. Great music, too. They're tough to go back to but the core is still solid (you know, Wrath of Heaven is still fun to pick up now and then).

Don't expect it back, though, so Bloodborne 2 as a backup.

demon souls and bloodborne are out of the question unless sony wants to make a sequel, new ip or another chromehounds would be nice to see.

I thought they had already announced a Souls like game in a sci-fi setting, but that was coming from the Lords of The Fallen guys.

I'll take a new Armored Core game. Front Mission Evolved didn't really scratch the same itch. Not too many interesting looking mech games on Steam.

I'd love a new Tenchu or a new Otogi.

I fucking adore the Tenchu series so I would love to see From revisit it while applying everything they've learned with the Souls franchise design-wise.

Of course, a totally new kind of game that doesn't rely on the Souls mechanics foundation would be the most exciting.

I never included Armored Core in the poll because, as a business, the Soulsborne series has been there biggest collection of hit games. Because of that, I went ahead and assumed they would stick rather close to the formula that has served them well as of late. I enjoyed Armored Core on my PS2 back in the day, but I don't see them going back to a mech combat game when they could more easily incorporate what they have learned that works from their recent successes into other series that are based on the 3rd person Action/Adventure and possibly RPG genres.

I'd love a Souls-esque game that drastically changes up the setting and combat. Some blend of scifi and fantasy would be nice. A heavier focus on ranged weapons (laser guns?) could be interesting.

New Otogi or something entirely new. I love the souls games, but I think it's time for a change. I don't want to see them get to the point where they're just churning out Souls games because they're profitable.

I was totally going to say Chromehounds 2 or a Chromehounds reboot. That is still some of the most fun I've ever had playing a game online against other people. Getting randomly matched against another team and having no clue what their HOUNDs were like or what their strategy was going to be was so tense and strategic! Nothing sense then has come close for me.

I remember a friend of mine and I would play late at night and get matched up against Japanese players all the time, and unlike Americans, they would almost always send short, nice messages after a match using the 360's Recent Players list. It was interesting to see how different the Japanese HOUND designs were compared to what we were using or what we were typically used to encountering, too. What a game. We'll probably never see another Chromehounds but I still think about that game whenever FROM is mentioned.

They should partner up with EA and make Dead Space 4.

A new tenchu game would be fun, tenchu Z was... allright? (don't judge me!) Or a new chrome hounds type game maybe? (with actual mechs not animechs)

Bloodborne/souls style games will come out anyway as they have become quite lucrative for From (I imagine) so no point wishing for those

I'd prefer a new mech game from them, be it Armored Core, Chromehounds, Steel Batallion or something new. I wouldn't mind if they tried incorporating some Souls mechanics though.

If they were to go back to King's Field, I'd really hope they'd go with that series' style of music instead of taking it in the same direction as the Souls games, because the KF games had some amazing music:

I'd love to see another great Tenchu game. It's a series that deserves to go out on a higher note than it has currently.

There really isn't another choice, because Demon Souls, Dark Souls is just updated Kings Field stuff, and even if you don't agree is still medieval stuff. Armored Core is not really a 'world wide' favorite that is worth the monetary risk of possible low sales; whereas, Chromhounds is even more of a joke for possible sales and thus more of a risk.

By deduction, they should work on Tenchu because it is the best of all options for a fresh game and something that will make monye if done well. Yet, they won't do it of course; but it does not diminish the fact that they should work on a new Tenchu ninja stealth game.
