Hi everybody, so I brought the Telltale games collection off the PSN sale. I was just wondering, sinse i've never played the Game of Thrones one before if you need any knowledge of the show at all to understand the story before I jump in 'cause I haven't seen the show.

@ian280291: Not really. It certainly will get a little confusing when you meet the fan service characters without any real reason for them being there, but the story is fairly self contained.

Not really, no.

There is one very early reveal in the first episode that you probably won't understand, but other than that its just the occasional Show-character that shows up whose place in the story you won't be aware of. Like when Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) first shows up I knew roughly where in the show's timeline the meeting took place, and I could make some assumptions of what would happen next because I knew what was going to happen to that character.

Basically knowledge of the show is good to understand the world/ history of the game's setting. But I think you could still enjoy it without that.

Hell you bought the collection already, so you might as well give it a shot!

it helps but is not mandatory. Tales of the Borderlands is so much better BTW
