Description:
Gray has a moody exterior belying strong, suppressed internal emotions. Despite that, he seems gentle and attentive with whomever ends up being his romantic interest.
Game Appearances:
- Harvest Moon 64 - The gruff son of the Green Ranch owner and Ann's older brother. Though not outwardly antagonistic, he is very cold to the protagonist at the beginning. His father, Doug, laments that Gray is too antisocial to find a partner while Ann calls him "a social disaster." As the player befriends him, his dialogue becomes less harsh and more cutscenes show his silent, expressive side. Should the player not pursue her, Gray will marry Popuri (his dialogue option prior to the wedding suggests that the protagonist pushes him to propose).
- Harvest Moon: Back to Nature - Gray is an apprentice blacksmith under his difficult grandfather, Saibara. Though he still keeps his struggles internal, Gray is more sullen and expressive in this iteration, often confiding his frustrations to the protagonist and Mary. Saibara is overly critical of Gray, a Japanese trope where though the master cares deeply, they never give the apprentice any praise in order to help them grow. At 1pm on most Weekdays, Gray visits the Mineral Town library and reveals his affection for books and reading. Should the protagonist not pursue her, Gray will propose to Mary.
- Harvest Moon: Friends/More Friends of Mineral Town - Same role as "Back to Nature." Now a potential marriage candidate for the female protagonist ("More Friends of Mineral Town" only).
- Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town - Same role as "Friends/More Friends of Mineral Town." Now a potential marriage candidate for the male protagonist. His special gift for the protagonist (should they befriend him) is a handmade metal brooch. Should he be invited to the protagonist's house on the Starry night festival, him and Saibara will have dinner at the farm and Gray will present the player with a special item ring.
