GH is just unoriginal and copies many aspects from RB 2

Its no secret that GH World Tour is a lot like Rock Band 2. So much that it includes the same 4 instruments and implements many of the Rock Band features while trying to make other aspects unique but those other aspects just feel tacted on and not good in any way.

To start out this is your standard music rhythm game. Their are notes that come down your highway and it is your job to hit those notes on the guitar, drums or sing the note on the mic. The game plays decently well in some respects. The guitar gameplay is much smoother like GH3's but thats just not enough to help this game be super fun. The Drum set that the game uses is pretty unique. It has a good design (You obviously saw them so im not gonna describe them). But they are not very reliable. A lot of times they will have dead spots on the symbols and the symbols never fit on too tight. Also the footpedal is just terrible. It seems like its gonna break really soon and it just is not that responsive. So these problems can really ruin your experience with the game.

The Career is maybe the most dissapointing aspect of the game. As Rock Band has a deep tour mode, Guitar Hero has basically just used their old linear song progression system that is just really dated and just isnt fun. About the only Aspect of this game that is really impressive is the create a rocker. The character creator is really impressive because you get so many different options to use with creating your rocker. It is really in depth as you can customize the size of different body parts, hair, clothes, instruments, faces and it is just really terrific.

Guitar Hero is just not original and just plain copies from Rock Band. I mean GH has copied the whole band idea and Rock Bands style of overdrive but also adds in newer more crappier elements like if one member fails then the whole band fails or different notes that just complicates the game.

This is a music game so it has a soundtrack. And the soundtrack is pretty impressive. This time around they added in a lot of newer more modern songs but also has some really good classics. The only problem with the soundtrack is that it has some lame classics songs and has a bit too many of them. You can play these songs online whcih the online in the game is pretty immpressive. Their is co-op with the band and their are some cool competetive modes like 4V4 or 3V3 and those are cool to play.

Really Guitar Hero isnt a bad game. Its not great though becuase all it does is just try to copy a much more superior game (Rock Band 2). If your a fan of Guitar Hero you will probably like the hard difficulty of the overall game but just in all this is just an okay game but i defentely reccomend Rock Band 2

This fall marks the first time where we are truly swamped with full-band plastic instrument games. Each of them, ideally, should bring something unique to the table to distinguish themselves from one another. Rock Band has its hook via DLC, and copious and regular amounts of it. Guitar Hero: World Tour has a grab bag of me-too and legitimately unique features like the music creator. And Rock Revolution distinguishes itself from the other two games by sucking, hard. First off, there is no denyi...

Someone snuck drums into my Guitar Hero! 0

First things first, just gotta say it - did GUITAR Hero really need the full band format?  Or did they just do it because of the great success that Rock Band saw?  Or maybe they really were planning it all along.  Hmmm.  Couldn't they have just made an awesome guitar game, potentially even allowing multiple guitars for Lead, Rhythm, Bass, or something more original?  Whatever, they wanted all the different instruments, fine.  Let's talk about how it actually plays.Wait, one more thing.  If YOU w...
