    A Masterpiece in What Roguelites Are and Still Can Be 0

    Reviewer’s Note: This was reviewed on the Mac version of the game, primarily using keyboard/mouse. It is also available on Windows and Nintendo Switch.     Aside from the colorful onscreen diarrhea, this is pretty much a flawless game and to avoid that good ol’ IGN trope of praising the game to no end, then giving it a nine out of ten, I’ll actually provide a reason for not giving it a perfect score - and it just comes down to personal preference.     While rogue-lites are quite fun, they can be rather restrictive in certain ways. Trying to tell a story, for example, is rather difficult given the run-based nature of the genre. What Supergiant Games have done with Hades, however, shows that anything is achievable if you have the right ideas and put your resources in the right places.
