Hakan is a Turkish oil wrestler from Super Street Fighter IV. He owns a cooking oil company and is traveling the world in search of the best oil recipe.
I think he's a cool character. I've never seen a character like him before. I don't think you'll ever see a Hakan in a top 16 SSFIV Tournament, though.
He has come a long way since SSFIV was released and his current v2012 iteration is so much better, but all that being said you will always be fighting an uphill battle when playing as him.
Personally I like the character I think he is fun to play as, but I would never main him.
He is a great character. I think his design exudes personality and creativity. He is difficult to play as due to his constant need to oil up, but he can definitely be played well. Infiltration and Wildcat are two great examples. Either way, you always have to be on the lookout for that SLIDING.......ATTACK!
When I used to play SSFIV religiously, I really only used Hakan. I loved how crazy he looked and his unorthodox fighting style. Also helped that his Ultra 2 (Oil Combination Hold) is the best anti-air in the game.
He's got cool concepts with the oil, and him being able to move while doing certain things... But he is easily one of the weakest characters, no matter how fun he is. Me and Scooper have had several mirror matches with him, it's awesome. AE did him wonders now that he starts oiled up.
