i havent played halo in quite a while. Not since halo 3 was still pretty new. But i got reach today and have played 15 mp games. Its decently fun but it feels so slow paced. I seem to remember intense battles in halo 3 where on here it seems to be closer to Call of duty style. In fact the swat game mode feels almost exactly like call of duty. I bought a halo game to play halo. Not COD.

Does anyone else feel even the slightest bit like this or am i crazy?

Implying halo used to be faster.

Implying SWAT gametype is faster than Reach, as is COD.

    So don't play SWAT?

I don't really notice much of a difference. If anything it feels faster, with stuff like sprint and Elite's evade in the game.

As for SWAT, that mode has no shields so a single headshot is lethal. Probably why it feels like CoD. Otherwise, it feels pretty different from CoD.

(For the record I hate SWAT. So many people seem to love playing that)

Go play Quake for a couple of hours and then pop in Reach. Shit will seem slower than a turn based RPG. Thats paused.

COD is not slow-paced. you are crazy. COD is a twitch shooter where the outcome of the engagement is normally who has the faster reflexes or who saw who first.
Halo has always been a slower paced game where you have to time your shots and be steady the whole time.

its proly from COD.  I remember switching back to Halo3 a while back and its way slower than COD.  Just need to get used to it.  Once u try COD again you will think COD is fast paced.

to bad its a vote system and everybody votes for swat immediately. and im not implying swat gametype is faster. its actually much slower because everyone creeps around slowly since its basically one shot kills.

call of duty is very slow paced to me. you have to slowly creep around every corner because there is going to be someone laying in the grass waiting for his insta kill. i dont understand how people think its fast paced. i remember playing halo 3 running into a group of 3 guys and having a huge battle . in call of duty you die basically as soon as you are seen. its who sees who first.

@tunaburn: I think you're defining fast-paced and slow-paced differently than the majority of people do. When people say COD is fast-paced, they generally mean you move around quicker, need a quick reaction time, and die quickly, not that there is more "action". Meanwhile, people think Halo is slower paced because you move slower, die slower, and generally have a little bit more time to react, not that there is less action.

It's a moderate speed game, I think it feels fast for a Halo game too.

It's not gonna be anywhere near Quake speed but it's faster than Gears...
