I really liked the music in Halo: CE and bought the soundtrack, but since then it has felt like more of the same. Except for ODST which I pick as my favorite Halo soundtrack. Roaming the streets in the dark with the neon lights with the very moody music set up a great atmosphere. I wish they made the entire game open world instead of it being just a hub for missions, it really gives it a unique feeling compared to other Halo games. I think the music is doing its job of making you feel lonely and insecure. You really don't get that "I'm a badass and I can take on anything" feeling you get from the other Halo games.

I probably preferred Halo 3's.
