Hawkeye Gough is one of the Four Knights of Gwyn and was the leader of the Greatarchers. A giant known for his exceptional marksmanship, he wields a gargantuan bow that fires enormous dragon-hunting arrows. In spite of his name and skill as an archer, Gough was believed to be blind, but in truth his helmet was simply packed with resin, obscuring his vision.
Gough can be found in the Royal Wood of Oolacile by following the bridge that leads in the opposite direction from the entrance to the Battle of Stoicism Gazebo. The Crest Key, which can be found in Oolacile Township, is required to open the door.
If the player speaks with Gough after triggering Black Dragon Kalameet's appearance in the Royal Wood's basin, he will demonstrate his legendary skill by firing a single arrow into Kalameet's wing, grounding the dragon and allowing the player to fight the optional boss conventionally. After defeating Kalameet, Gough will reward the player with his unique Greatbow.
