Why has there been a very little amount of Hitman "clones"? All I can think of off the top of my head are the two Death to Spies games. To me it seems like a perfect formula that other developers would've copied by now.
Hitman
The Hitman games are a series of stealth action games, in which players are encouraged to use stealth and disguises instead of raw firepower (not that this isn't an option) to complete a level.
You know, I'm sitting here playing Hitman and I get thinking...
Well, now that Assassin's Creed Brotherhood has shown how to do a game kinda like that in multiplayer, they can copy that and have everyone be clones.
So they were just waiting for the right idea to steal.

Which is going to change when the new Hitman is out. Hitman now has feelings, gets erections and wants to fuck, has batman's x-ray vision, does EXPLOJUNZ.. Absolution is gonna sell well because its a COOL GAME
You have to put thought into a Hitman type game rather than a run forward and shoot guys game like almost everything else.
@TaliciaDragonsong said:So do a fellow fan a favor and let me play a lil! ^^Why are you sitting there playing Hitman if you got into the SWTOR beta?I'm trying to avoid playing TOR too much to avoid spoilers for when the game comes out. Currently I'm just getting every class to level 10 for now. My highest is 23.
Hitman is pretty much a regular stealth game in the broadest way. Assassin's Creed might be the most similar game with civilians and blending in, though Hitman was a lot more basic and obvious about it. I don't think any real game mechanic of that game is entirely unique on it's own. Still, fun franchise that could have used without a lot of boring levels and uninteresting back story.
