It was always sorta kinda confirmed it would come, but the only real thing that was confirmed was the Switch version. However while browsing the PS store today I noticed it was up there for pre-order. Apparently it got announced a week and a half ago, and it's coming out in two days.

Goty contender in 2017 thanks to PC, and now thanks to switch release and soon other consoles, GOTY contender in 2018. It's really good and everyone should play it!

I'm playing through at the moment on Switch and I can confirm- it's great. Starts a little slow but once you get a couple upgrades and really start exploring new areas the game really sinks it's hooks in.

Got 112% on the PC version, then barely touched the Switch version I got on sale, and yet I'll probably end up buying this version too, just because the game was that good.

Already got the Switch version digitally due to the recent sale, but I'm really looking forward to going through it when I get to it. Metroidvanias are my jam, and everyone's raving about this one. Glad those of you on PS4 and Xbox get to enjoy the game like everyone else! ^_^

I can't believe it isn't already out for ps4. Seems like the perfect PS4 and Xbox game. Can't wait to re-experience people piecing together the lore and following up on old theories.

I'll play it again on PS4 or Xbox One. Such a gem of a game.

It’s my favourite Metroidvania! I’ll buy it again on Xbox and probably do a full play through there (I haven’t played the DLC so that’ll be new).

I’ve been playing The Messenger recently and it’s such a badly designed Metroidvania (the first half of the game is good though), it made me itch to go back to Hollow Knight.

I have it on PC but I might pick it up for PS4 because it would be fun to play it on my big TV with a PS4 pad.

Time to triple dip on the greatest Metroidvania ever made.

I need to give this game another shot. I played several hours of it last year, several hours of it earlier this year, and both times I was constantly wondering why people think it's one of the best Metroidvanias ever. Really? In the same ballpark as Super Metroid/Zero Mission/Aria and Dawn of Sorrow?

I got REALLY deep on the Switch version but I've bounced off it pretty hard.

Not sure if it's because I'm old now (47) and my reflexes just are not there anymore or it's more attributed to, what I feel is quite noticeable, some pretty bad input lag on the Switch Pro Controller (also, the mushy D-Pad), but I got so some late game bosses that I just cannot beat.

I was somehow convinced this had to have been released on consoles months ago, if not last year.

If you haven't played it, enjoy, I guess. Great game.
