I was browsing the map for side missions and came across a user-made mission whose title I'm 99% sure spoils the ending.
I haven't beat it yet so I'm not sure if it's true, but god fucking damnit. Is there a way to disable this shit so nothing like this happens again?

People who make UGC are dicks
Wow, that is fucking shitty. Thanks for the heads up, will definitely turn UGC off or play offline if I get this game.
What a goddamn asshole.
So sorry to hear you got fucked over like that; guess we can add another thing to the list of shit that sucks- UGC griefing.

Most of them simply don't know how to make a decent level. It's frustrating to start a level only to realize halfway through that the creator didn't know what the hell they were doing, so you have to exit out of it, and you don't get the credit for having played it.
I can't log into PSN or download the latest inFamous 2 patch therefore I can't see the UGC in the game so I guess I'm lucky.

This is true, but unfortunately there isn't really much that can be done about it.
You don't even need to be offline.
Just go into the UGC menu option and in the filters section you can select to hide all UGC.
This is really bad to hear. It annoys me to see people discussing spoilers in games so openly when a games only been out for days (even if a topic is marked "spoilers" the title often gives away enough as it is) but this is just a really douchey thing to do.
I'd recommend just turning off the UGC content, it's almost all terrible and not really worth doing when you have 60+ side missions anyway. Most of the UGC stuff is filled with spelling mistakes and really terrible content scenarios, none of which are fun to play. The mode in general is a waste of time and feels really tacked on. Trying to complete 30 of them at the moment to get the trophy and haven't even managed the 5.
Go into the options and disable them.

I was expecting you to be talking about the difficulty. I've run into two of them now that are taken right out of the Matrix when he fights all those Agents at once. Just bum rushed by mutants.
Think I'll stay away from them if there are spoilers..i did wonder if anyone would do it. I've come across one that was placed EXACTLY on top of a story mission point which made it hard to start without accidently doing the user made one.
Press pause and go to UGC and you can turn them off with out logging out of PSN. i turned them off once i got all the trophies for them
