Add it to your Origin library while it's free and it's yours to keep! I think Jade Empire is worth checking out, but it's nowhere near as good as KOTOR or KOTOR 2. But hey, it's freeeeee. This version includes the soundtrack, too.

Free is a perfectly acceptable price to pay for Jade Empire, the Super Mario Sunshine of Bioware RPGs.

I think I played through this on Xbox when it first came out, and I was really into it. I'm interested to go back and see if it holds up.

i played this game about a year ago or so. still fun to play. some of the story things are a bit tough to figure out and some of the baddies are a little tough unless you know the right skill to dispatch them with, but other than that, i think it super holds up. combat and story is as good as kotor stripped down would be. that is to say, everything is there, just not as much of it.

Great! I never actually beat this one. I remember something about an old man and an airship before I lost interest, like, a fuckin decade ago.

Loved this game as a youngster. BioWare quality w/ action combat, 11 year old me was all about this game.

Jade Empire was a pretty cool game. Flawed, but cool.

I recommend it, too. The combat isn't that great, like most Bioware games, but I like the story and tone in this game, it's more lighthearted compared to Dragon Age and Mass Effect and the villain is so good. They never used this setting again, either. Doesn't hurt to get it for free.

Only if Mass Effect 2 is Galaxy 2.

Is there a way to get it to run with a gamepad? There is a "controller" setting in the options but it doesn't want to stick for me...I could be doing something wrong though
