Buyer beware: this game has one of the most harmful glitches of all time. It will randomly delete your save game. The game operates on only a single autosave, and if that gets corrupted somehow then you're screwed. I was on the last boss and the game crashed citing an insufficient hardware problem (despite me playing through the entire rest of the game at 60fps with no problems, and despite the game operating perfectly right before the error). I started it up again and I was only allowed to start a new game. After closing the game, the game synced with Steam Cloud and saved my blank save. Therefore there was no way to even retrieve it from the Cloud. Several hours down the tube. Searching the Steam and Eidos forums, it appears this issue is prevalent.
The game was excellent, but unfortunately no matter how good a game is, it's pretty awful if it deletes your progress when you are mere minutes from finishing it.
