Doesn't deserve the hate
Sure there are issues. The sort of open world nature gets annoying with having to slog back and forth between side quests. The gunplay isn't great but manageable. The rig combat is pretty good, wish there was more of it honestly. Where it really shines is in its story. Cutting back and forth between protagonist Jim Peyton's last story to his grand daughter and how he came to be on E.D.N.III. It's paced extremely well and you grow to care for the character. Most of the characters have good voice acting, especially Jim. Ive been a fan of the Lost Planet games since 1 and while I still like 2 overall, this is still a decent game and to me doesn't deserve all the shit it gets.
