    Overview

    Originally launched in Korea on July 7, 2015, Maplestory 2 is a follow-up to Nexon's widely popular MMORPG, Maplestory. Maplestory 2 shares a number of environment, enemy, and character overlaps with its predecessor. However, unlike the original, Maplestory 2 features an isometric, polygonal 3D perspective, a new player housing system, and a redesigned combat system.

    Following the game's Korean release, a Chinese version of Maplestory 2 was launched on September 21, 2017. Japanese and English-language releases would launch on October 10, 2018, although service for both versions was later shut down on May 27, 2020.
