I just got the following in my inbox:
Subject: Tier 1 Advanced Preview: Watch "Leave a Message" first
Logging into the EA site it claims that it's an Exclusive trailer, blah blah blah.
Anyone else gotten something like this?
*Updated*
Just watched the trailer (titled "Leave a Message"). To summarize it's a video showing military helicopters flying near mountainous terrain while someone (I'm assuming it's the character you play as) is leaving a voicemail for his family back 'home'. Shots soldiers looking pensive, discussions of soccer practice and clearing gutters, not being in harms way and et cetera.
Trailer ends with the troops being deployed but suddenly come under attack from off screen.
Medal of Honor
Game » consists of 22 releases. Released Oct 12, 2010
Step into the boots of Tier 1 Operatives Rabbit and Deuce in this modern take on EA's long-running Medal of Honor series; the game features separately-developed single player and multiplayer modes.
Exclusive Trailer
Love Chinooks. These are much better character models than what we've seen before, no? Shame multiplayer worries me (different engine and developer).

Remember the multiplayer is being handled by DICE? They are capable of making a good multiplayer shooter. Good trailer BTW.
We already know that singleplayer has prone and multiplayer doesn't. Wonder what the scale in multiplayer is like (Battlefield or Call of Duty?). I have a bigger problem with the engine since who knows much space that's going to take on a DVD9 disc (less content?) with at least different physics (they probably share the same files for textures and gun/character models).
I'm not a fan of DICE's copy/paste buildings being so empty and DICE don't really strive for high or even locked framerate.
" The trailer was really interesting. However, that bearded soldier is the dumbest fucking thing I've seen in my life. "He's a real soldier, though; apart of Tier 1.
Very intriguing. I really like the tone and real Afghan conflict setting the trailers have been about. I hope the emotional weight in the game matches this stuff we're seeing now. But I wonder how they can really pull that off. A shooter w/a honest emotional and compelling story, with great gameplay that doesn't stray or become some contradictory corny heroic shit? Good to see the MoH team taking what appears to be some chances anyway.
I seem to be the only one so far that caught the "Hey, you've reached the Pattersons!" at the beginning. Jimmy Patterson was the main character in Medal Of Honor: Frontline and I think some other games. You probably are playing as a member of that family.
Also, the song at the end gave me goosebumps. Really excited for this.

many special forces units remain behind enemy lines many months at a time and are required to interact with locals- hence the turbans and beards a lot of them sport. its a well known fact that many special forces unites look exactly like this here bearded man. the clean cut marine look can be quite odd to the locals. the beard and scarf/turban whatevers are a bit more familiar to the locals.
Ah.. a nice trailer, I love the slow paced and emotion it had. I hope the story will be just as moving and cinematic, with a more down to earth and "human" plot-line.
Although it sounds like you will be jumping between characters a bit, which is a bit of a disappointment, as I hated that aspect of mw2.
