Marley's Adventure with Metal Gear Solid 4
Okay, here is my adventure with Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. One day I just decided to live up to all the hype, and play the game. So I went over to my friend's, asked him if could play it, and it was all over from there. I really had to say that this is so far the best game, on the Playstation 3. The cut scenes are insanely long, but for someone that actually wants to become a film maker, I was generally pleased with these cut scenes. They were executed perfectly, because no polygons intersected and lip syncing was dead on. I almost had to stop myself, and say, "isn't this a video game."
When the game does actually let play the game for bit. I found out that this was one of the most fun I have had with a game, since The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Hideo Kojima definitely tries to fit Metal Gear Solid into the modern generation of shooters, and he executes it perfectly again. Sometimes I like to call this game Metal Gears of War. Another hit for Kojima, so far he is batting .1000.
The sound design and score is another part in the game that I enjoyed 100% of the time I played. I loved it on how the music just kept you on the edge of your seat, or keeping the hairs on the back of your neck standing up. I found the music so catchy that I start humming it throughout my day, and I haven't done that since Super Mario Galaxy. I also liked with the sound design, on how every gun you used had a different distinct sound, it made the game feel as realistic as could. I would actually like to thank Kojima for not giving the enemies voices the typical enemie stereotype voice.
In the end Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is probably one of the best shooters I have played in along while. I believe that everyone at Kojima Productions deserves a pat on the back for a job well done. Thank you Kojima for making a hard core gamer happy.
