    Mirror's Edge; A new look

Mirror's edge has outdone all earlier games when it comes to movement in firs person. Really simple environments alow Mirror's edge's jumping style gameplay not to become too confusing, while a strong colour scheme let's the players retain that "epic" journey feel that one normally only gets from-... well... epic style games.
The story focuses on personal story, vowen into a complex scheme, and the game has a hard time letting you know enough about the story to really make you feel immersed.
While the gameplay is strong, i feel that some elements of the game could have been expanded upon. The game for instance features only one proper hand to hand combat. Something i'd like to see more of in a sequel.

It's hard to pin any major flaws to this game, but easy to point out things that "could" have been better. Still, we have the benefit of hindsight, and compromises might have been made so the game would suit a bigger audience.
For the strong visuals, exellent gameplay and sound this game deserves a five, but since the experience overall is "less then perfect" and i have a feeling only a 40% of the players are going to enjoy this as much as i did it recieves a mere 4.

    E.D.

Faith will be helped by her fellow runners in order to solve the mystery. You are constantly told how many runners there are, so why does game only show us fou...

Late Bird Review: Mirror's Edge 0

Much like the game, this review should be on the short side. The game brings something new to the table: first-person free-running. But is that enough to carry this game into a worthy sequel? Taking a step away from shooting everything that moves in most first person games, Mirror’s Edge plays off the adrenaline you get from running from “the ” When I first heard about this concept I jumped right on board. Running from swarms of enemies as opposed to stopping to shoot is part of the fun. As...
