When they added all these huge ****ing maps to the rotation... maps I detest, no less. The best thing about FFA was that the camping wasn't as bad as other gametypes... but now it's worse. I'm tired of walking into a building only to get blasted by a guy with akimbo 1887's waiting in the corner on Karachi. Since they added these new maps, my K/D has dropped from 2.37 to 2.20. It's pissing me off.

Anyone else not like this decision?

I agree.  I hate playing FFA in Estate or similar huge maps because it's just not fun.  FFA is my most played game mode and I'm really happy when the map is something like Highrise or even Rust, but for the most part it's just not fun when everybody's camping all over the place and a single step could get you killed.  Underpass is the worst for this.

FFA is a crap mode anyway.

I never liked FFA to begin with.

FFA is my fav. and no I don't camp I go where the actions at and PWN all!

FFA was amazing in COD4. Now it frustrates me in MW2. Tooo many campers. 
 
I totally agree, getting filled with bullets as you come around the corner just plain sucks.
 
Just gonna stick to my Team Deathmatch.

Personally ive had 0 fun playing FFA, I cant help but notice that no matter where i go someone has spawned behind me, its really quite annoying when you shoot a guy and the game pretty much puts him in a perfect spot to immediately respawn and shoot you right in the back.
Its not a matter of people are always camping, its just in FFA you HAVE to or your shot in the back everytime you start moving.

just play teams that way as long as someone on your team is camping you win :)

I mostly stick with HQ Pro. I typically get around 14000 XP each round, depending on challenges.

Also, it's stupid that the only way to have a match count as a win in FFA is to be #1 in the match.  They should have made it be the top 3.

Yeah, the game is unplayable for me when I play anything other than Domination. Just way too many campers. I think it sucks that this is such a problem with the game as it cannot be patched. Imo, Modern Warfare 2 is the game that separates the community just as Halo 2 did. Halo 1 was praised by many many people. When Halo 2 came out, the game was way more team oriented and different that the community split. Modern Warfare 2 is doing the same for me, but this is just one series that I just cannot follow anymore. The maps, modes, and gun balances all cater to a specific audience and playstyle now and it simply is not my own. Oh well :\

I join and quit FFA repeatedly until I find a decent map.

welcome to the internet! kill / death rarios - such things have no concession.  maybe with friends, but the general public could care less. play modes you like.
 
and yes people camp because they want to unload kill streaks. if infinity ward made a mode that removed them would you even play it?

Yeah I kinda got sick of FFA due to the campers that's why I've moved onto domination. There are still campers but in a good way they're defending the objectives so it's understandable.

Speaking of ruining FFA, I've been entering matches where it's 18 player Free-For-All kind of frequently today.  It's rather frustrating.
